Need simple answers

Ok i want to start breeding autos as the price per seed is waay waaay out of hand (i came across 25 bucks for 1 seed..shheeesh!) i bought a 10 pack of nyc diesel regulars and have already germed two hoping they will be males. I also have a blue cheese thats also germed and ready to go.

The questions i have and i know it is common but i dont know where to start searching, are these:

a) If the mother plant is an auto, a cheese auto, if i then pollinate it with pollen from NYD, would i end up with just cheese auto seeds that have a few traits of NYD? If i have 2 x autos, regardless of the strains, will they retain auto genes?

I am kinda confused.

Just simple answer will do.

Two autos will produce autoflowering offspring. The rest will is the fun part of it.

You can have any different combination of genetics happen from the resulting seeds. Some may lean towards one parent or another, and there could be a perfect fusion between both parent plants in some of the offspring. Still others may produce something completely different!

If you have ever had dogs that had pups you will see what I mean. Two yellow labs breed and yet the female throws some black lab pups in the litter! Say what?!

Genetics are freaky things haha!

I am glad you are trying to get seeds, besides the ridiculous cost security is really being beefed up on packages as well...

Learning to make your own seed is GREAT! AFN has a fantastic section called Autoflower Breeding... will have ALL the info your looking for...
Think of breeding the plants as having a human child, they'll have characteristics of their parents (some will look like a combo of mom and dad, some more like dad, other more like mom) but they are there OWN individual... So when you cross to different strains the possibility the offspring have are almost endless... Thats why its important to carefully select your parents...
Also just my yes many seeds are over priced, but if you think how much an 1/8th cost you on the streets, would buy you a few seeds that would give ounces.... Its all relative.. I believe the prices are high, but VERY FAIR all considering....

Best of luck in your project.... Check out that breeding section and read the stickies... Really is the only way to EVEN TRY to begin grasping breeding.....

I have a few single seeds left as well that i got for free a few years ago, one is "supersonic cristal storm" which i remember i grew and it was massive, i bought more strains and i got it for free again but hadnt bothered with it. I might actually make her the mother to produce the seeds rather than the cheese, as i have 10 cheese seeds. The storm was sativa dominant i think..

Next stop will be learning how to use CS for femme seeds. I already have colloidal silver that i bought a while back from the hydro shop.
