Skywalker from Mephisto, 75 days old. Been Foxtailing, I think, not sure if this matters. But I don't see enough amber trichs for our desired indica effects. Wondering if I should harvest sooner than later because of the fox tailing? Does that matter besides bag appeal. Anyone have any experience with this? Any thoughts are much appreciated.

It's close. The way it's maturing, by the time the clears cloud up, you should have plenty of ambers. You'll also see the head of the trichs change shape from round to kinda like a mushroom.
Some autos just don't amber up a lot when fully mature

I would not worry too much about the foxtails, those are very minor. I grew two rounds of Skywalker about a year ago, I found the same problem late flowering. I reduced my feeding amounts and backed the light off a bit for the last 2 weeks and the issue resolved. At this stage of the cycle 25-30 DLI is plenty of light for ripening.

Nice looking plant!

Thanks guys, glad I'm not the only one who's had this issue. I'll turn the light down a smidge and keep an eye on her.

What is foxtailing?
If you look closely at my flowers, it looks like new flowers are starting to grow out of them. Mine are somewhat minor compared to others I've seen. It's basically colas growing out of colas. From what I've read it could be genetic or a sign of stress. Hope that helps.

I see it with some FB strains and it's almost always heat, or light intensity related. But your's doesn't look bad to me as others have mentioned. And none of the people partaking of anything that foxtailed on me ever noticed.

IMHO, YMMV, etc.

Is it foxtailing or is it reflowering? Idk the lineage but it's possible that it's the latter. The plants don't look as of they've been neglected to foxtail and I see the leaves are beginning to fade. I've grown sativas that would reflower 2 times before a 12 week harvest and the bud smokes fine.

I don't think you need to really do anything besides what you have been doing. On top of that you're growing autos so my bet is that it's genetics rather than some mistake on your part.

Ace Seeds Bangi Congo x Panama did it more than anything else I've grown
