I've been using the Mars Hydro TS600 for my 2x2 (now in a 2x4) and my plant loves it! Check out my last post on my grow diary and you'll see what this kind of light can do! Since your budget is 135 you could even upgrade to the TS1000, I figure you would get an even better yield!
Go white, not blurple, and you need something like 130 watts from the wall.
IMHO, for the price, you are unlikely to go wrong with the Mars Hydro TS 1000. I would choose it over the TS 600 because it is dimmable, and the extra power is usable in a 2x2. These are nice lights, and if you go for a 2x4 later, another one would be perfect for the new tent.
There are other options, but none that I know of that are a lot better for the price, unless of course you are into some DIY wiring and light building. 9 screw in bulbs also do a decent job in a 2x4 if you want to do something cheap and effective.
Honestly raise your budget. In all honestly use a credit app or pp credit which is 4 to 6 months to pay and buy the New chilled 3bar for a 2x2. You will pay for itself in one run..
Mars Hydro TS 1000, it's 150w, the optimal coverage is 2'x2', match your growing area.
Check on official website, www.mars-hydro.com, and using the discount code " AFN " at check out, help save some cash. But it's out of stock in some areas now, when you purchase, just check the stock situation
An HLG QB100 is only a bit more than your budget at $150. Save up to $200 and the qb288 rspec v2 kit is about as good as you can get for a 2x2 without overpaying for efficacy.
