OK, here goes, I checked with our esteemed moderator Duggy if it was OK to name n shame and I got the go ahead. I posted this yesterday in the general chat thread...

[h=2]Good customer service.[/h]
I recently bought a six pack of outdoor seeds from a web site. Three strains, two of each. One variety flatly refused to crack using the trusty paper towel method. My other dozen seeds all cracked fine. This one variety was an out and out dud.
So, I emailed the supplier to inform them of a potential issue with this batch. Not a complaint, just a courtesy to let them know of my disappointment.
Two days later I got a "mystery" delivery of free seeds. More than adequate compensation.
Me, a happy camper.
Would it be OK to name the company and the dud strain?

So the top notch web site that compensated me was....www.female-seeds.co.uk Thanks guys.

The dud seed was Durban Poison from Dutch Passion. I contacted Tony from Dutch Passion via a PM but as yet I have been ignored by Tony. I am told he is very busy so cut him some slack as its only been just short of a week. However the web site compensated me within two days. Go figure.
The other four from Dutch Passion are doing well, but the Durban Poison I would say ...avoid. eP.

eP a name and shame is Fine..as long as it doesn't Flam out.
So we will keep our eyes on it..

And one thing I MUST SAY.

If you bought your seed from a seed bank..then you take Your Complaint back to that Seedbank.
Dutch Passion has Nothing to do with how the other seed bank stores and retails their product.

Your Complaint directly to DP Tony about seeds you bought somewhere other than DP themselves is wrong.
He has no Reason to Answer you.
How can he..:dunno:..he cannot answer for a seed bank you chose to buy from...it is not His company.

If you want a Reply from DP..buy your Seed from DP.

However the web site compensated me within two days. Go figure.

Because it is THEIR responsibility..you spend you Cash there..you have a Problem..you go back to where you paid you cash.
That is how it works...:tiphat:

TBH dude it sounds like you made out like a bandit. Any idea if the mystery seeds are a replacement of the same seeds or...?

I don't have much experience, but i kind of relate buying seeds to buying fresh fruit and veg...or something... You know how you buy a bunch of banannas that are still nice and yellow by the weekend, and then you buy another bunch of banannas and 2 days later they're turning black? So many variables when you're dealing with 'live' produce. OFC, the premium that we pay for seeds makes it perfectly ok by me to be annoyed when they dont turn out, especially if a whole batch turns out bad, but if you have a retailer thats throwing seeds at you to make it right... I call that more of a review than a name and shame.

Pretty sure Tony will get back to you, i'm sure i've seen him post to other guys that had problem seeds and he sorted them out.

mmmmmm... I wish i could buy seeds direct from dutch passion. But i cant.

oops..maybe you cannot buy direct..but if you don't buy from a seed bank you complain to the seed bank.

We've had this problem before.
DP sell to the retailer..once they leave DP's hands..they become the responsibility of the retailer.

If the Retailer have a problem with DP seed..They contact DP...:tiphat:..
