New Grower My first Grow and Grow Log- auto mazar

This is my first grow, and i want to share it with you guys, i know little of indoor growing only what i have stumbled upon on this site. I have three auto mazar's, which i have just put under a 250w hps flowering bulb. I'm not to good with forums and what not so ill try to keep it simple and hope that ye guys can fill me in on what i'm doing wrong and what i'm not doing at all.

around 12 lire pots
fresh bag of unknown brand potting soil mixed with vermiculite and blood fish and bone
first indoor grow ever so i never bought any ph tester, so it is unknown.
using tap water that's been left to stand overnight. - ph unknown.
large open space to grow in
250w hps and reflector fitted with flowering spectrum bulb.
small fan for air movement.
temperature has not gone over 25/26 degrees at the height of plants, has not gone lower than 19/20 at night.
planning on using plain old liquid tomato food, unless i splash out and get proper nutrients.

Oh yeah.. i meant to add in that those cfl's that you can see at the side of the pots are going to be removed in the morning? maybe ? , ive stunted these plants so much now that i reckon that a quick swap from almost no watts of cfl to a lot more hps might add to the ordeal. wrong,right,stupid?

You probably won't need those extra CFLs for awhile. They will be getter for some additional side light once the plants get a little bigger.

Only update that i have is that i love my new light!! can just imagine the growth and daily changes that are noticeable with the 1000w's. roll on the weeks!! really starting to believe that i'm gonna get some tasty buds!! happy days

I have managed to bring a runt back from the dead so now i have three growing plants again.. witch is sweet. will update with pics soon. maybe tonight, been experimenting with feeding them the tomato food and changing my watering mehod, they seem to be doing just fine now and loving the food. today i have watered them with a almost double strength feed as i did previously, and im gonna take note of how the respond. i figure the tomato food im using is way less in strength than some of the npk vaules i see people using in here, so im gonna try and find the point as to wich they complain. any one have any input as to why the runt has a stronger stem. but much less and bad looking leaf formation

some pics of my progress, 17 days . the pic with the thermo in it was a runt that almost died i think, and it seems to be doing well now. also you can see my el cheapo reflectors. dont know what to say really as i dont know what going on other than they seemed to have a massive growth spurt in the last 24hrs.. still no ph meter for water and still dont know the actuall ph of the soil mix im using. started to feed them last few watering as i noticed that they look a bit yellow/pale, and now it seems to be that the dark green is comming through in patches, i take this as a good sign ?? other than that feel free to tell me whatever you think i should be doing.. i think alls goin well and im happy. things were reall shakey at the start.
