Day2:

Hi guys! This is my first auto grow.
Mephisto Hubbabubbasmelloscope.

These seedlings are under Secret Jardin 42w led veg strip lights about 10inch away. I planted the germinated seeds 2 days ago & they broke the soil 36hrs ago. I'm in Plagron light mix and only adding ph6 water at the moment. I have a 6 cree 3500k cob setup ready to go in to replace the 42w leds.

Do they look like they are stretching too much? I've planted two in each pot and intend to kill one off when I decide which looks the best phenotype. Please see attachments for pictures.

Any advice more than appreciated!! Thanks guys. I'll keep the grow updated here.

Welcome Kronos

Congratulations on starting your first grow. I have a feeling that light of yours is equivalent to the old 4 foot fluorescent I think they were T10 or t8 or something. Those are great for seedlings during veg if you get them down within one or two inches of the seedling. That's just my belief I've never actually seen that light in action. But, since it only has the one Spectrum it won't radiate your plants too much and it shouldn't be too warm to the touch.

Anyway, yeah they are stretching a bit too much and that's usually just a symptom of the light being a little bit too high. It's also helpful if your humidity is up around 50 or 60% at this point. then an oscillating fan gently gently blowing those seedlings around would help strengthen the stem and keep them just a little bit shorter.

Thanks for the welcome!

I've removed the LED strips and replaced them with a custom CREE LED 6 cob setup at 3500 kelvin on a dimmer. I'm at 26 degrees Celsius at 50% RH. I have a small fan in the room but it's not aiming at the plants, purely there for air circulation. I'll add an oscillating fan tomorrow. This is the first time I've used these cobs, so I'm not quite sure how close to have them. Currently 1m away as i don't want to shock them. I'll bring down a bit every few hrs.

Thankyou for the advice so far!
