*Anything written here may or may not be true. I'm an awful liar, your honour.

The growgrrl rap:
I'm on my - yikes! 6th grow and I still ain't got it right.
My Mazars are looking tox'ed and I've had f'all vertical growth overnight.

Setup- Indoor, Tent- DR60, 60x 60 x 180
Lights - 1 Mars Hydro 300w White Type (in use) , another 300w epistar 3w chip, (light is much 'pinker'
Medium- Canna Coco Pro & about 40% perlite
Nutrients - All Canna Range , AN Rhino Skin for Silica, Epsom salts (5g per 5Ltrs) , "MagiCal"to amend R.O. water, Superthrive for early veg, All given to date Not given -canna acktrivator , molasses, alg-a-mic
Ph / ec of feed - 6.1 (need new batteries for my ec meter)
Water - r.o- (25 ppm)

Today is day 28. I have 2 Mazars in the tent (along with some just germed bag-seed for the fun)
On day 14 I transplanted them to their 11ltr homes and had problems with low runoff. I sorted that out, and now the out is in the 6.0-6.1 range.
I was watering everyday to 10% runoff when I realised the reason one was droopy was over-watering, so I've since cut back a lot to every 2-3 days. Used to go by light pots but these girls haven't had a light pot moment even since I cut back on feeding.
I'll go check what other info I need to add. - incl photographs and as I've got a headache, I''ll come back to this later this afternoon.

I think over complicating things isnt helping you too much people say you need this and that but really cannabis is a resillient plant and all you really need is stable grow conditions. My advice to you would be go with soil and only water when the soil is bone dry also use organic nutes as its hard to cause problems as they are all made from natural ingredients... Very hard to go wrong imo. If you are having problems Just keep it simple and things will run smoothly ;) good luck

Yeah you need to let them dry out completely. The watering every 2-3 days is a good schedule when they are using up all the water. If they aren't, you need to do what your plants tell you to do. Like the above person said, they are very resilient and most people are afraid of what will happen, so they start trying to fix issues that aren't there. That's what causes problems. Don't fret hehe they will be fine just let them dry out, and try using smaller amounts of water until you notice them consuming more. Not allowing the pots to dry out and over watering will stunt their growth and the roots won't spread out in search of water. That's what you want to happen :p happy growing!

You'se are right. I've been overwatering thinking i was- for a change- 'not being lazy and tending to them properly" . Hmm, I was doing it right the first way.

Tea?! BRANDY!

I think the drop in heat didn't help, it went from being Summer to the other season- 10 months Murk- here last week and I noticed the grow space didn't overheat once, temps are down to 13 degrees atm. Have a little heater to bring up the temps in the room, and a de-humidifier, best purchase ever. It would not be possible to grow successfully here without one, i've frequently caught it in the high 80's.

There are a LOT of cool looking badges under my avatar, I guess I get them If I document till the end? It is a motivator in every way being part of this community, I hope to be giving back soon too, I know enough about Mg def & Spider Mites to dream about them.
It's the middle of the night and i'm slightly over the herbaceous border, be back with new pictures tomorrow.
Thanks my fellow-smoker, Archie & Starbreaker for the advice and being so lovely. :growing:G'wan the Mazars!

Spider Mites. The red kind- Very few- I've seen 2 or 3, you really have to look hard. My cat got in there when i was feeding , a long-haired that sleeps in the greenfly ridden hedge outside.
I'm disgusted! Any so pissed at the feckers. My first thought was "throw them out, you are useless" but then I started researching advice.
I've gotten results before with canna cure/ pyrethrum but I can get spinosaid ( from the US- take a week)
Any UK/ Irish growers out there know a brand name for spinosaid I can search for and see if I can find it locally, please? I can get "

Monterey LG 6133 Garden Insect Spray with Spinosad 16oz
on amazon, neem oil too, for an ok price. Just checked me grow shop online, they don't have it, they have that pyrethrum that stinks tho.
I'm going to spray them all over with cannacure (its a start, makes em unable to move) at lights out
the afternoon. Luckily they are not so big.
Thanks guys :( No more cats near the grow space & mr dyson/ mrs mop & I shall have a better relationship.

Just checked- products I can get
tomorrow - neem, mighty wash, Plant vitality plus (pyrethrum, got it before), Fortefog Maxifumar plus, mite shield organic, nite nite spider mite , and npk industries PM wash 1ltr.
Any of these any good, I'll start the canna cure soon, its not a bad dose of SMs, I can't even se any damage tbh, or webbing, I've seen the white bites they leave before, but this time not so much. I do inpect them daily a few times for them as I've had them before, so I imagine they got infected yesterday when they got a feed aimed at the mild P def they had, as the cat got in to the areas.

- 3 hours later- I didn't see a single one during treatment , I foliar sprayed with a canna cure solution as directed on bottle at lights out (2pm) and gave the whole tent (all lights, cleaned fans with a make-up brush i use for the purpose, vacuumed inside & out in every seam, took up the garland tray, washed it w mild bleach sol, etc etc) , outside area/ room a good going over. Cleaned the air-in fan & put fine filters on both ends of it (not just 1 end)

Also moved the dogs bed, even tho she never sleeps there, and washed down with warm water & dettol, and washed her bedding. I'm not putting it back in that room.
Getting some neem for sure tomorrow, as I am heading o the city anyway for a different matter. I've heard Diemataeceous (sp?) Earth is useful also.
Just glad i seem to have caught it early, but they will be carefully watched and extra care taken when tending to them- e.g I won't come straight in from doing me outside garden to my inside, common sense really.
I'm knackered ! Some interesting recipes and suggestions, I have a 1ltr of isopropyl and saw where you can use that also, plus common kitchen stuff. Thanks :)

Yes overfeeding is bad prolonged dampness will incur fungi nats and root rot, as for organic nutes you can still over kill you just wont know till you smoke it, either repot or get a garden mate fan directed at soil surface to help dry, i had an autowhite berry in a a bottle that i only fed mls produced bout an 8th so that bein said overfeeding is not wise, im not too sure bout spidermites but if you cant find what you want you can make sprays jorge cervantes has some formulas you should check out

Thanks degermans, I'll have a look at what jorge has to say. Cheers
Edit- re- fans, I have 2 8in clip on fans directed at the top of the medium , 1 on each plant.
I'll have to google garden mate fans, thanks.

Oh no! Hope you deal with the spider mites.
I used to use pyrethrum, but more "control" than "eliminate".
I'm using neem oil now, for outdoor grow.
But that's for bigger bugs, not mites.

All the best, sister!
