Problem: Yellow/brown spots on leaves and leaves’ tips curling downwards

Medium/grow method: soil (BioBizz light mix)

Feed and supplements used: currently using BioGrow and BioBloom, planning on adding TopMax later in flowering

water source: tap water

Strain/age: RQS Quick One, 31 days old

light used: sunlight, usually 11-12 hours of direct light

Climate: temps hover between 28C and 30C, but can go to up to 32C between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. At night temps are between 18C and 20C. RH is always at 50-70% but can go up to 90ish based on the weather.

Additional info: The plant is growing outdoors. I’ve been careful not to overwater and/or overfeed (I’m giving her half the suggested ferts) especially considering how hot the climate can be during the day. Yellow and brown spots appeared a couple days ago whereas the curling appeared today. Some upper leaves are also curling inward.

At first I thought it was some sort of deficiency (cal came to mind), however there are so many symptoms at once that I don’t know what’s exactly causing them. Thanks in advance for any reply!

Plant looks fine but you should use some cal/mag once flowering starts.

What is the ph of the feeds?

So is that a Cal/mag deficiency? It kind of looks like one, but I was not sure because it is the first time it happens to me. I’ll try to add cal/mag as soon as possible. Thank you!

6.7 or something around that last time I checked. I think it should be fine for soil.

6.7 is kinda high.. Considering that ph of the water rises as it sits in the pot. I would check the ph of some run off water if you don't have a soil ph meter.

I would also not just add cal mag just to add it. A deficency does not automatically mean to "add more". You are using tap water. If you are in a modern country, your tap water will have more than enough calcium and magnesium in it. Maybe even too much depending on where you are. Do you have a ppm meter?

Unfortunately I don’t have a ppm meter.
As for the ph, I’ll check it from runoff water after the next feeding. For reference, what should an optimal runoff ph be?

Adding a couple pictures of some leaves I removed today. This is the upper side of two of the oldest and biggest fan leaves. Brown patches are slowly appearing on the tips of other, higher leaves too. New growth around bud sites is still (fortunately) unaffected, but I’m afraid things could get worse.

What's the feed dosage and frequency been?
The high RH% and T's play havoc with the VPD (vapor pressure deficit), which is basically h=about how the T and RH% affect transpiration... Impair that, and you get weird symptoms like this, mimic defc. even if the nutes are in there,... bad VPD reduces the transport of those nutes, triggering crap like that!
Also, in-pot pH is always in play, if that off, it can lock out nutes.... that needs to be verified one way or the other,... adding more nutes to off pH pot makes matters worse... With this line of nutes, it's less likely, but not bullet proof!
Symptoms appear P related to me, but not 100% on that, given the looks of it.....

Thank you for the detailed insight! I use ferts at every watering and feed her every two days. I'm giving her 2/3 of the dosage suggested by Biobizz and I've never had issues until now.

As for the PH, it was in fact high. Runoff ph was at around 7 and I've read that it may cause issues with the absorption of some nutrients. I've recently started lowering the feeding solution's ph and I'll wait to see how the plant does from now on.

She's now in full flowering and she doesn't seem to have any other issue though, thankfully it doesn't seem like this problem slowed her down. Fingers crossed!
