High everybody

I just thought this would be a good time to get my next grow log going..seeing as I have germinated four Auto's (for the record I am stopping Autos and making a new grow room, but finishing out my seeds in my old cab which will become my veg room).
So this is the basic setup:

80x120x1800cm cupboard
1x250w HPS (+an extra 70w LED for flowering)
4x Hempy bags (made from regular black 'grow bags' with holes on the sides)
1xBig Bang
1xDutch PassionThink Different
1xSAD auto
1xBuddha seeds Buddha Auto

All seeds were germed in rockwool between two bowls on top of a heater within 24 hours had popped and 48 hours had shot out the rockwool. This is my first experience germinating seeds this way, and was a little worried it wasn't a good idea but they all worked out perfectly.
I used grow bags I found at the Hortishop that have holes on the sides...was worried they were too low down but they do work at creating a res so it seems like it should work perfectly, I hope..I couldn't find any info on using these in place of buckets but the theory doesn't change. The reason I wanted to use bags is they are the perfect shape for my cab, which when I was using Autopots I had room for two plants but because these are cylindrical, also 8L I can get 4 in the same space...so I'm hoping my 250w will be okay, I just haven't had money for an upgrade just yet.

Anyways I popped the rockwool into the perlite/vermiculite bags on Sunday night and put them in the cupboard, and Monday morning they had turned green and popped out the medium. Been growing very nicely since then, will put pics up later or tomorrow of the little ladies.

Some help I would like to ask for, is if anyone else has used BioBizz nutes for hydro, or Autos more specifically (as they are usually very sensitive) and what your feeding schedule was like, I have varied it, but usually have not used a totally inert medium so the plants haven't needed food early, and I'm worried I should have started feeding already..even if a very light mix? I have put Mycoroot into the medium (very good for hempy method apparently) and watered with a light Kelpak mix two days ago which seems to have done them some good..problem is it's become such a user specific grow, being auto and hempy so may be hard to get advice, but any would be very welcomed!

Just wondering if I should drop organic nutes/BioBizz, as I always seem to struggle with them, as Agito knows...but should I just use chem nutes like a GH range? Would hempy buckets be more forgiving with my nutes?
Please let me know any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

On that note, sorry for the long absence but forgot my password and then had to shut down my grow for a few months..
Anyway will post pics later this eve/tomorrow.

Thanks!:toke:

Best rule of thumb with auto's is to keep your feeds weak. The biobizz works well at 5ml per liter in soil but I'm not sure about hydro you'll have to ask one of the hydro heads here about that bud.

Hey Vitruvius
Thanks for the feedback, I know I was already using less than that in my previous set up, so should be much the same just wondering if it's more struggle than it's worth using BioBizz over something like a normal GH range?

Got a feeling I'm going to ditch the BioBizz range and go for a straight-forward GH range...any basic advice on that range, and Autos would be awesome. I also have gathered with an inert medium I should only start feeding after around 10-14 days?
Thanks in advance..

Okay, so after a long while, getting a new 2m wide grow tent, new 400w lamp and 6" Fan, my ladies have been rocking out...
6 weeks in this coming Monday (17 Dec) and all doing super well. I did ditch the BioBizz for now, and am running the Gh line, which I'm super happy about, working out so well! The hempy method is also awesome but the bags don't make a big enough res, so some roots have come sneaking out..okay though it's sorted and all looking happy.

Let me know what you think, and any advice.
Thanks!

Will update soon! Thanks in advance for any comments and/or advice! :) :bong: :smokeit:

Forgot to mention, the TD measures in at a whopping 67cm! That's a record for me, I've never grown an Auto this big, and can't wait to see the buds fill out. All ladies Autod at around 17 days.
The Big Bang was around 22 days, and is still in her stretch mode.. :)

Looking sweet mate, your ladies look very happy :smokebuds:

Looking good dude. I dig the Hempy. :smokebuds:

Thanks Squid! Yeah Hempy is working well for me, only issue I found was some of em not reaching the res by the time they hit flowering. Also, will learn to NOT use bags with the holes on the sides...the res is way too shallow and causes the roots to creep out looking for more food.
My new Hempy grows are going to be 100% coco with perlite in the res, as Hempy himself does it!
