I have been looking forward to putting together all my photographs so far into a journal.

Story so far........
I received 25 seeds on Friday 13 days ago.
I decided to try a mix of different strains to see which ones I like.

I germinated 15 of them using the paper towel method and had them planted in final pots 24 hours later.

Once the pots were laid out in my tent I said to myself, "these pots are only using half of my tent space, I wonder if I could just fit them all in?" After some careful consideration I started to germinate the rest of the seeds and had them in the tent 48 hours later, by this time the first lot had all sprouted.
The first 15 that were planted were planted into canna terra soil, some in 3 gallon pots, some in 5 gallon with about 30% vermiculite added to the mix for good measure. The second lot however, were planted into my local garden stores general multi purpose compost as it was a Sunday and I was impatient. Now, I have used this once before and vowed never to do it again because of pests, I did it again and here I am, tomorrow, going to the store for sharp sand and fly catchers. Not too happy but it's being dealt with so all is good.
Another small hiccup that I have had so far was getting my strain tags mixed up............don't ask! so I removed them from the soil. I will be relying on some experts out there to try and recognise my fruit when the time comes.
So day 12 above soil for some of my ladies and days 7, 8 and 9 above soil for the others.
They are all under 2 x 400w hps at the moment but will be going up to 2 x 1000w at the end of next week. I was debating in my mind whether to go for 3 x 600w. not really sure how tall or wide these things will grow? The tent is 4ft by 8ft. Anyway, whatever lights i decide to use, I was planning on getting another tent and using the 2 x 400s again for early veg, planting more beans about 5 weeks into this grow for non stop turn around. Anyone have experience with this? I am hoping for a ten week finish but know it could be longer for the goodness.

This is somewhat of an experiment for myself. I have fimmed and topped early on the strong plants and they all responded well, next to no setback. They are tied down where needed. One of the fimmed plants has 4 tops that I have tied down letting the 4 side branches shoot straight up.

For the past 2 days, one of my ladies has shown tell tale signs of nitrogen deficiency. Today was the first chance I was able to get my hands on any form of nutrient and all that was available to me was Miracle Grow all purpose, I think npk was 24 - 8 -16 if i remember right, the blue gritty stuff. Anyway rather use that than let a problem become a problem.

I can tell by the tall pot that this one's planted in that it is a White Widdow XXL by Dinafem.

Nice grow !

I actually did a grow start to finish with nothing but that blue gritty stuff a few years back just to see...

Not a single problem and had a pretty nice harvest. It surprised the heck out of me.
