Hello all, FatsWaller in the 16th state (16th MMJ state) Wanted to introduce myself to the site and express my delight in finding a site dedicated to autoflowering cannabis. Here are a few pics of my Himalayan Blue Diesel, (ShortStuff), in a dirt grow indoors @ day 36. I have other pics of the photoperiod plants we're growing also, so feel free to check out my profile and see the others, and PLEASE comment, advise, etc. Anyone growing 1 day longer than I have has the experience I need. LOVE these autoflowering plants!!!

Welcome to the auto farm! Looking great so far! May your plants grow big and strong! :peace:

Welcome to the forum brother. This place is nothing short of awesome. Looking good man.

In the 7"x7" pot that the HBD is in we used a 2:1 mix of FF Ocean Forest (2) and Happy Frog (1), beyond that a very small mix of Dolomite lime to keep the Ph / soil sweet and some fine milled Mykos for root uptake. Mixing a very light 3 part AdvancedNutrients "JungleJuice". You must be seeing the yellowed fan leaves (good eye), so my question would be...is the color an indicator of deficiencies / toxicities or are these large and older leaves supposed to wither and die? She (feminized seed) is just 36 dayz and with no real reference don't know just where she sould be.

Welcome Bro! What kind of lights are you using and how far from your plants are they? (just curious) As for the yellowing, you may want to take a better photo of the affected area and post in the infirmary section bro. Just not enough info for me to make and educated guess plus i don't know squat about growing in soil. To me I say they look slightly undernourished with a possible ph prob (if you were growing hydro) but since soil. ??? Sorry bro, keep on growing though. I've only been at it for about 2 years and every new grow I do i realize i still don't know as much about these plants as I need to. Peace :peace:

Right now, because the HBD is sharing the room with 2 photoperiod girls, they are under a Hilux 600w MH, but come the 25th we change to a Hilux Blue 600w HPS, to accomodate the 2 photoperiod plants to flower. I do believe the 600w HPS will be fine for our HBD. The lamp is in a glass enclosed reflector and is about 7-8" off the top of the plant. The other 2 are tied way down at the top...about 22" My soil Ph for the HBD is between 6.7 - 7.0. Can't make it stay @ 7.

Soil PH should be on the acidic side so 6.0-6.5 is fine, you don't want to be up at 7 for optimal growth....

Thank you all for the great welcome and encouragement. I hope to be around a long time and eager to gather tips and information as well as being of help whenever possible...! Puff, puff, pass

Wow... now is that a basic rule of thumb for autoflowering strains? The reason I ask is all our dirt grows with photoperiod plants, maintaining a 7.0 (or as close as possible) slightly akaline was always what we shot for. Seemed to result in an easier, more effective pre harvest flush, especially for taste and burnability. Very good slice of advice. I can be less "retentive" about that Ph thing now

Yeah the ruderalis in the mix gives it more durability and a more acidic requirement.... It seems the more of a weed something is (any weed plant not just pot with some exceptions) the more acidic the soil conditions are, poppies like soil around 5-5.5 for instance....
