Anybody use a seed bank that requires a Mesh Account set for purchase w/CC, in US? MESH has me concerned, because the same info they are requesting for set up of the account, is the same info Capital One uses to verify it's actually me when calling. Mesh wants name, addy, DOB & SSN. Giving that info out seems like a sure way of getting hacked. These particular seed banks, United & Westcoastconnoisseurs, have the stains in stock I want. Don't think I want beans bad enough to give out SSN & DOB.

No way dude, that's ridiculous. I've seen another company asking members to do that, gut instinct says someone is profiting off you using those accounts...

Thanks guys. I thought unitedseedbank was legit. Guess everyone using them must pay w/bitcoin, cash or wire transfer. No way do am I giving out ssn.

Nobody or company (other than say legal employer) should ever even be asking for your Social Security Number. And of course, never give it out.

I presume date of birth is public; not much of a concern about giving it out (for good reason). It's officially registered, displayed on drivers licenses/ID cards, etc. -- Surely readily purchasable singly or in bulk for a fee.
