Afternoon all, of a newbie grower. I’ve done 5 auto flower grows but haven’t experienced a problem til now. Break down as follows :

Problem: Clawing leaves, dark green.

Medium/grow method: Soil / Light Mix / 3 gallon fabric pots.

Feed: and supplements used: 1ml pl bio grow. One feed in last 7 days (fed 3 days ago).

Water source: Tap
Strain/age: Man Bear Alien Pig / Mephisto. 5 weeks old.

Light used: Geekbeast Pro 640w

Have been thinking it’s a nitrogen issue. But can’t come to a diagnosis that I’m happy with.
Massively appreciate any thoughts!

@MrPringle :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:Looks like too much nitrogen to me also.

Cheers dude, I was fairly convinced it was too much nitrogen but ya know you wanna get the diagnosis right first off to aid a quick recovery.
I’ve read a few things, but best remedial action? They haven’t had an feeds for around a week now. Flush the soil and continue to feed with water only until things improve?

Cheers, have an ace weekend!!

Flushing soil is a last ditch effort and is to be avoided except when the plants are going to die if you don't. Simply water with PHed water until you see improvement and then feed with "Balanced" nutrients. That means ALL of the products in the chart for the week you are in. I would dilute that to 50% strength. The easiest way to do that is to mix up one gallon at full strength and then add another gallon of water, PH and feed.

You need to learn about Liebig's Law of the minimum to understand why all of the elements must be presented to the plant in balance always.
