Hi AFN, here is my smoke report for my little beauty, a Mephisto Grape Crinkle, the frostiest girl to ever grace my tent/lungs

Yep. Early but I'm a stoner so I don't know when.
Soil/hydro:
Biobizz Lightmix and perlite.
Nutes:
AN PH Perfect M,G,B, B52, Voodoo and Big Bud. Green Planet Bud Booster and Dense in flowering.
Light (kind and schedule):
Yeehaa DIY 250w Citizen COBS. 24/0. Dimmed "at night" when I remember! 24/0 really helps to stop the evil bud rot IMO. I don't even have any extraction, and I've had no rot during this nasty high RH period we've been through.
From seed to harvest date:
65 days? Maybe. Stoner moment again.
Dry Yield: No idea. Not a lot as it's a small strain and she was a delicate little thing, but I would say 25-30g?
High/Effect Duration:
I will give my initial impressions here and then I'm going to make a cup o tea and skin up and will do a live smoke report in "The High" section below!
Initial impressions (of the high): The first joint of this strain really surprised me with it's strength! Wasn't expecting it to be honest, despite the fact that she was the frostiest plant I've grown so far. I think the (lovely but unusual) smells (see below) made me underestimate her.
Pretty fast, almost immediate head rush type effect at the front of the head. Rushy, a bit racey even, but with "substance" somehow. I suffer from anxiety, but this didn't trigger anything at all. Motivational and NOT couch lock. BUT, strong enough to stop you doing much even though there's no "I'm a lazy bastard" element to it.
I'm not 100% sure what I think after the initial hit. I'll let you know when I've smoked a joint with a nice cup o tea (see "The High" below).
RATE SCALE: (*) = bad, to (*****) = great
BAG APPEAL: 4.5 stars.
Small but amazingly DENSE rock solid little balls of THC encrusted goodness. Slight silver/grey tinge to the buds, probably because of the trichs? Proper solid nugs with the same appeal as the better photo weed I've seen really. The main top was a weird shaped "top knot" as Mephisto suggested sometimes happens, and that nug is now like a lump of wood it's so dense!
THE GROWTH: 3.5-4 stars.
The growth was amazing to be fair, but she was a small plant (as advertised) so a lower score here. However she was so eager to grow and as soon as the stretch started she started loading on the trichs. Awesome looking plant in flower as it was just ridiculously frosty!
THE SMELL: 4 stars.
Now, the smell. Hmmm, exactly as mephisto say, I got strong festive spices and flowers! Soooo weird!! Rally kinda threw me several times when I went to sniff a nug! I really like the smells, but if I'm honest they are not my fav smells for weed, but that's just personal preference.
The smell is changing with the cure, and has a nice, slight lemon OG type funk to accompany the spices and flowers!
THE SMOKE: 4.5 stars.
Smoooooooooth! After the slightly unusual aromas, I was expecting a weird taste to be honest. And in a way she doesn't disappoint!
Very smooth on the inhale and slow burning with a good solid heavy smoke in the lungs. Slight flower taste (nice, almost a slight purple taste?), and a totally mental experience of spices in the mouth! No other way to describe it! A bit like a mild curry without the flavour! Seriously, I'm smoking it now and my mouth is tingling and spicy! Slight chemical taste on the exhale, similar to a certain cut of blue cheese that goes around here from time to time. NOT the cheese flavour, just the chem taste that comes with this particular blue cheese.
THE HIGH: 4.75 stars. Yep 4.75!! Lol
OK, LIVE SMOKE REPORT!
When smoking a joint of Grape Crinkle I get an almost immediate "rush" to the head. Failry typical sativa at first in that it goes straight to the front of my head, but it seems to be delivered by a bat in this case! Cricket bat possibly?
Within a couple of minutes the feeling is now all over my chest and arms, which are feeling immediately heavy!
Got the giggles even though I'm alone with the cats!
The combination of the head rush effect and the body stone/heaviness is very nice, and not a million miles away from a couple of glasses of white wine delivered in one gulp. Slight confusion, head rush, body rush, warmth, and a bit of general trippiness!
A pretty awesome combo as it goes! I am nicely wrecked now, and am still giggling at precisely f*ck all
To summarise the high, I would say a really very pleasant sativa/indica hybrid. I have no idea what the actual genetics are so this is pure feeling. Sat and Indy effects come on almost simultaneously, and carry on together for a while. I'm expecting things to mellow out into more of an indica lock fairly soon judging by how I'm starting too feel now!
Typing is becoming a real issue, and the sofa and netflix seem extremely appealing! (Had to retype that about 5 times due to major spam hands!!)
@mephisto congratulations dudes, that is some mad strain I have to say! And here was I being all down on autos!
