Hey all. First time poster long time lurker here on AFN. Decided to start growing again after a good 6 year break, due to local laws changing. Currently on D35(DG) and D36(4AM). Will throw up some photos from start to -current along with some info along the way. Love this community and figured it would be a great place to document my journey. Hopefully some more seasoned growers can help along the way. Any advice, recommendations and such welcome. Cheers.

The strains:
Mephisto genetics Double Grape x1
Mephisto genetics 4Assed Monkey x1

The Setup:
- Spiderfarmer SF2000 qb
- 2x2.5x5.8 Shorty Gorilla tent w/ cfm kit
- 5 gal fabric pots w/ risers in saucers for drainage.
- AC Infinity Cloudline S4 exhaust fan
- IPower 4in. Carbon filter/scrubber
- 2x 6in. Clip-on fans
- Small cool mist humidifier

Medium/Nutrients:
- Promix HPCC with 20% added perlite + some extra dolomitic lime
- Bio Canna nutrients (vega, flores, rhizotonic, boost), GO calmag+ , Terpinator.
- NFTG Olympus up and Hades down.

Water Supply: City Tap. 100ppm (500scale)
- RO water used for humidifier.(learned the hard way trying to use tap at first, clogged pre filter, etc.)

These ladies started off under my old 180 watt blurple (mars reflector series) for about a week until I received the qb.

Germination method used: 15 hour pre soak until seeds sunk + 24 hrs in moist paper towel( or until 1/4 in. tail.) Then straight into 5 gal final home.

Week 1:

Pre moistened pots and let sit for about 36 hours while beans were germinating.

12/13/2019 Day 1 for 4AM
12/14/2019 Day 1 for DG

Did not expect to have to introduce water or nutrients for at least 10 days or so, however started seeing signs of calmag def. 4 or 5 days in, so decided to introduce a light water/feed schedule that is similar to something like Tangs feed schedule. Just custom tailored to my nutes and what I can see they need. So started with 1/4 strength of light feed for rhizotonic along with 2ml/gal calmag. Gave them about 270ml Approx 330ppm and ph at around 6.8 to 6.9. (Explained further below)

So first problem I ran into was the ph issue. After much research I decided to try and let the medium do the ph adjusting and not adjust the ph of the water/feed. Starting ph of tap water was 7.3 which is under the 7.5 threshold on bio cannas website. So did not feel the need to adjust. However I left the water to sit bubbling over night, and did not realize this can raise the ph dramatically. Did not re check the ph, and believe that the plants suffered a bit at the start because of the high ph. I checked another jug I had bubbling and it was up to 8.3! So started adjusting every water/feed to 6.2-6.4 after this was discovered. Hope this info might help someone else in a similar situation. Heres a few photos of their first week. Cheers

Week 2:

So forgot to mention Ive been trying to maintain RH at around 60-75% while temps have been steady around 78f. I believe this falls in a good range in regards to VPD but new to this and still trying to dial in environment. So far so good. Heres some photos of week 2-ish. Got the new light in. Love this thing compared to the old blurple, well, there is no comparison. Cheers

Week 3:

Besides the minor calmag issue these gals seem to be pushing right along. The double grape has been a pleasure to grow and continues to impress me daily. Less picky than the 4am, but I do believe the ph issue at the start did not help. Not much to post just slowly ramping up the amount of water I give them plus slowly raising ppm of feed. Currently mixing any feed on a per gallon basis, on the light side of things as far as Im aware. Cheers
(The 4AM is the one with the heavier calmag issue)

Week 4:

The new light has taken some adjustment, was way to intense for the gals at 20 Inches. So raised to around 28-30 Inches ultimately. Took several adjustments/days to find the sweet spot. Or closest I could get without them ehibiting any signs of intensity stress. While messing around found my carbon filters pre filter covered in this white dust. After researching found it was from using tap water in the humidifier. Started using RO water in humidifier. Havent had any issues since. Started to LST them at some point this week. First attempt so very nervous lol. 4AM showing sex on 1/3/20 day 22. DG a day later. Excited! Here are some pics. Cheers.

Week 5:

So this is this last week up until yesterday. These girls continue to impress day by day. The 4AM seems to be flowering much more than the DG. Im thinking maybe I stunted her with the ph issue the first week. Or maybe she's still got a bit too stretch. Not sure. Continued to train her as much as I could, but she is a stubby one as is. The DG however is very impressive with her growth. Preflowers starting to show but no sign of slowed growth yet. Continuing to train her, allowing side branches to grow up taller than her main before training them as well. The 4AM received her first dose of bloom nutes with yesterday's feed. Approx 760ppm (500 scale) at PH 6.35. They both have now received a full gallon with each of their last feeds. Double grape definitely seems she can handle more, the 4AM probably pushing as is so fed will stay relatively similar until I see otherwise. Introduced terpinator a couple of waterings ago. Started at 5ml/gal and increased to 10ml/gal with last feed.

You can tell they stunted but they look happy now I noticed my 4am have all been nutrient problematic they seem to like specific amounts where as others I've grown are much easier to grow as far as nutes go both strains you have are lighter feeders atleast in my experience. Also how you like the new light I no when I switched it was a bit of a learning curve but wouldn't use anything else now(blurple and hps) sending good grow vibes and karma ur way
