Hi Fellow AFN Users Medics Test Lab is Online with some RAD from Evol Seeds. Magicly 4 Beans of the RAD appeared over here to give em a Test Run. I soak 2 of them and 1 will go into Coco and 1 in Soil to compare the Grow in diffrent Mediums.

First of all here is the Description of the Strain RAD by Evol Seeds.
[h=2]RAD[/h] RAD aka Russian Afghani Delicious is a stabilized cross

SAD S1 (
Sweet Seeds) x White Russian from the eastern US.

Our goal with
RAD was to combine the fantastic taste of the SAD S1 with the pure white trichrome coverage and potency of the White Russian. What we achieved was a very short, potent plant with an amazing taste and very light on the lungs. Although all will be frosty white with trichromes some rare phenos will have noticeably larger trichromes.
The high is a mellow in your head type with a slight indica body stone. Its a very functional high unless overdone. I personally chop mine with only 3 - 5%
amber trichromes because any more and I would never leave the couch. RAD takes between 60 - 70 days in bloom to achieve a completely finished harvest.

And now to the Technical things.
Space used: Veg. Chamber old Cupboad 90x50x140cm Flower Darkstreet 60 60x60x140 cm
Lights Used: Seedling: T5 36 w Veg: 200 w Cfl Flower 200w Cfl and 180w Topled Ufo
Medium and Pods: 1 Plant Biobizz Light Mix 1 Plant Coco Star both in 2 Gallon Root Pouches
Fertilizer: Greenhouse Powder Feed Idica with some Additives like Humid Acid Calmag and Rootjuice
Airflow: 180cbm outtake Fan with 180cbm Carbon Filter 2 Airmovin Vents inside the Tent and passive Air Intake as the 180cbm pulls enough to blow thru the Tent

Plan for Grow: As i currently have a Run with my Soliloqueens Pheno Selection and this will take a good 3-5 Weeks till its done, the RAD gets Vegged for at least that Time. I will fimm them several Times and train them to make them Bush out good before i put them in Flower.

Plan for Journal: This will be a Weekly Update Journal. That means i collect all the Data make my Notes and Pics and every 7 Days ill post a Update with all the News. Its easier to follow and not millions of Posts over here.

Ok so here we go with the RAD in 2 diffrent Mediums.....

Its totally your call on Fim/topping. RAD is already short and bushy so its not needed.

I like your multi medium idea!

Ok i thought when i give them a long veg time and Fimm them to get Multible Colas but if You say they are short n Bushy then its even better :)

Look forward to seeing the side by side comparison.
Subbed for the ride.:Sharing One:

I'm in. I might top mine anyway because I like futzing with them :)

One of the Seeds barely cracked yesterday. Evol could it be that they have a hard shell ??? With such Seeds i normaly make some lil scratch marks in the shell so they can soak the Water better. Did this last Evening and i will take a look after them later when i come home from work.

You shouldnt need to do anything extra. Soak 24 hours then drop into soil. Too much water is bad for them. I have drowned a few.

Never had props with the 24 hrs in water then off to wet towel paper. Seeds did not germ so this Test is on Hold i will start the other 2 but this will take a bit cause i dont have the time for a tryout atm. Test will continue after my Clone Runs in1-2 months.

Sorry to hear about your germination problems.
Saw that you had the same issue with your Sweet Cheese seeds.
I'd steer clear of the Jiffy pucks.
I feel they don't allow enough oxygen to the seed and end up smothering it.
I've had stellar germination rates since I switched to using either Rapid Rooters or Root Riot cubes.
With their sponge like texture it allows great amounts of air while still keeping the seed in a moist medium.
Check out my germination guide. This may present an alternative to your current method.
I'm 4 for 4 with Evol's beans.
Here's to a successful germination on the next attempt.:Sharing One:
