So during an evening of heavy drinking on Saturday, it dawned (haha) on me that the lighting situation in my tent was woefully underdeveloped. Now, @MarshydroTina had just run a sweet Halloween contest for a SP150, and after not winning the contest, I knew I had to get a new light. Now my budget for my grow is pretty tight, and the SP was a bit out of my reach, but I was impressed with the generosity of MarsHydro as well as the reviews of their products. In my drunken haze, I looked through their site, and the TS600 caught my eye. I managed to find some reviews on Amazon and YouTube that we're favorable, so I said what the hell and ordered one up.

The light just came in (super quick shipping, ordered Saturday night late, and at my house on Wednesday). I just got home from work, and decided to open it up and get it set up. It came in really well packaged as you can see:

Pulling everything out, it came with the wires to suspend it and ratchet cords to adjust it along with instructions and a warranty card. It's a really nice looking light, and when I plugged it in to test, it was definitely bright (rated at 100W @110v).

So I brought it down to the basement where I keep the tent. Here's a shot of the current setup. A 50W UFO blurple and then two clamp ons with 10w Phillips bulbs. Up to this evening it seemed bright enough to me:

With a lille bit of finagling, I was able to get all three lights out an pop the TS600 in:

Just some comparisons between new and old, when my light meter on my combe probe was under my old setup, it was registering at about 100 (100 what, I don't know, lux probably) and this not pointing at the lights but at about an 80° angle. Under the new light, it hit 500. Pointing the photo sensor at the new light, and it simply pegged it at max.

The girls are at 13 days right today, so I'll continue updating this with how they progress throughout the grow.

Overall I'm really happy with the new light, and I'm confident that it will help with growth and yield. To be honest, you got to take this review with a small grain of salt, as this is my first grow ever, and my first attempt at growing anything indoor. So in all honesty, I have no point of reference, for what's great and what's not. But I know that better light output leads to better yields, and this new setup is demonstrably more powerful then my old setup.

One thing I can say without a doubt is that the customer service and speed of MarsHydro has been top notch, shipping speed and processing was on par with Amazon, which was unexpected, particularly for a China based company even with us based warehouses. In addition, Tina was quick to answer my question about height, even though the reccomend height is listed in the instructions, she's a real gem!

Build quality seems good, no shape edges on the aluminum housing, and everything went together smoothly. If you're on the fence on picking one of these up, don't be, it's a really nice light.

@episode tagging you here, since you were interested in this light.

Sure do, you can check it out here I had some pH issues earlier this week, but it looks like the girls are bouncing back.

Like I said, this is my first ever grow, so there has been, and will continue to be, many newb mistakes. If nothing else it should provide some light comedy :crying: .

I just ordered up some Mephisto beans, so they may be jumping in the tent in a couple weeks, depending on how crowded things are looking by then. I figure if I can pull a zip or two from this grow, I'll view as a rousing success!

Many thanks for your review, very detailed. I'm sure your review will be useful to many people who interested in TS600. I will keep the eyes on your next grow dairy. :smoking:

Cool! I have one coming Monday to join my 2 ts1000's. This is for an area that doesn't have a lot of headroom. Curious if there is a dimmer switch on this like the 1000's?

Thanks for checking out my review @Dan34475 I didn't see a dimmer switch on mine so I don't think there is one. @MarshydroTina is there a dimmer that I'm not seeing on this light?
TS600 doesn't have dimming function, because TS6000 is no driver design.

@MarshydroTina or anyone will this TS600 run cooler than the old 3 fan Mars 300w,thanks
TS600 will be a little hotter than old mars 300w, because TS600 don't have fans, but the wattage of ts600 is small, so it doesn't give off too much heat
