I'm just starting out, I have a tent it's 90X50X160CM.

I want a Mars hydro led setup. I'm going to have 3 autos in there. Would a 600watt be enough or would i be better going up to 1000watts

For that size space the 600 would be more than enough. Worth noting that the 600 and 1000 don't refer to actual wattage. They are 100w and 150w respectively :pass:

1000w would be kind of overkill for a tent that size. Some may argue 600w may be too much too. Usually 600w ties well with 1.2m x 1.2m

I have a 150cfl bulb with reflector at the moment, would I get a better yeild using the Mars hydro?

Yes mate, I would say so. I have a 600, 1000 and a 300w CFL all in my tent now and will be adding another 600 to replace the CFL soon

Would I be better keeping the 150watt cfl with reflector then? I want good yields? Would have got bigger tent but don't have the space.

So best bet is get the Mars hydro 600? And swap my cfl 150watt with reflector for that.

You will definitely have better yields with LED over CFL. Just be sure to go by actual power draw, not rated power. For that tent I would go for a total of 450w - 600w. CFLs are not really great for flowering, you need more of the red spectrum. CFL are cool because they do put out some fair amount of UV, but you definitely need to improve the spectrum in the red and far red zone to get big flowers

Is this the best for that size of tent?
