New Grower making auto fem seed with CS

I've been reading about this, but have a few questions if anyone can help.

I've made non-fem non-auto seed before.. It's great to have free seeds to play with, but as we know fem seed is better for people with limited space.

I'm not too interested in breeding per say.. I would like to have seed stock from quality strains already in existence.

Say I want to have some auto mazar seeds to play with..

Can I start one plant and CS on one branch to create pollen and then the plant will just pollinate itself and produce seeds? Is this method acceptable?

I realize the bud will be mostly seedy and the crop be will be less than desirable.

Or

Should I pop 2 auto mazar, hit one with CS to produce pollen then pollinate the other or part of the other?

Is one method better than the other?

A long while ago i was prepared to experiment with CS sprays as well (i cancelled in the end); i vaguely recall reading that clones loose some of their "vitality" after a few generations, while growing from seeds could help fix that apparently. If that's true then maybe it's one more reason to want seeds.

Sexual reproduction certainly remains a more suitable survival strategy in favorable conditions.

Personally i'll bet that's one technique which members with plenty of practice may have illustrated already...
