Im currently on day 22 of flowering and started using gh's 2 bottle, lucas formual feeding. What I don't understand is how is it that I give the plant exactly the same amount of nutes from vegetative growth through flowering? It doesn't make sense to be giving it the same ratios throughout its life. For now im giving it 6.25ml micro and 12.5 ml bloom. Im using 14 cfl's. I may increase it to the recommended dosage of 8/16 next week, but wondering, do I give it micro in that ratio (half of bloom), throughout flowering? I never have to decrease micro, which contains nitrogen, and/or increase bloom? Seems odd it's getting exactly the same balance all its life.

The best way to stick with lucas ratio is mix full gallons at 8/16. low light cfl grows can be mixed 5m 10b until flower then 8/16. Take the full strength and mix it off at feedings of 25% 50% 75% diluted ratios, so on so forth and watch your plant. Why would you give it half bloom at flower i dont get the question. Its about simple easy mixing and it grows big healthy plants Cheap. When you give the canna plant what it needs it thrives n p k mg s ca . I use lucas maxibloom only mix and I always get comments on how lush and green they are, fast growth, great roots, frosty it even grows great seeds too!

your plants look great.

Because that's what the lucas formula calls for..that's my question..does everyone who uses the formula use it 1 part micro and 2 parts bloom the entire way? That's the formula..micro amount is half of bloom amount. just thought maybe along the way people have tweaked it a bit, especially for flowering, maybe more bloom and less micro than the 1(micro):2 (bloom) ratio mentioned.
Plant has been growing without a hiccup since week 1. Was going to get a tds meter to see what it's actually eating and what exactly am I feeding it, but shipping didn't work so I cancelled the order. Plant is in the sun today:) I only started using gh 3 waterings ago..before that was a 25-10-10 fert, with micros, for 3$ from Canadian tire.

One tweak for coco is 6/9 because the phosphorus thats gets released from coco combined with bloom locks out some nitrogen and mag, you then add 1tsp/g of epsom to raise the mg back up to 60ppm as per lucas. And I must have miss read it looked like you said you reduce the bloom part at flower. Regards :pass:
