Hi. I might either have contaminated coco or perlite and or used ph down and up wrong, over time the thing seemed fixed as i watered out the medium i guess? Anyway, I notice many of the leaves develop yellow spots that often become brown / really dry. I had the light about 25 cm from the tallest tops and I then trained the plant 8 days ago, slightly snapped the maincola, and the buds really started developing fast since then.

What is your take? I am feeding only sweet candy and bud explosion last and this watering. I water about 1 watering -> 3 days the next -> 2days 2 .... pretty iregular to what i usually did with every day something in flowering... Can that be it, can it be heat burning the top leaves from when the light maybe was to close? Is the medium still contaminated or am i feeding wrong?

Cheers! <3

I agree, it does look like P or P & K related issues.
Possibly deficiency, or it could be early stage lockout from overfeeding.
What much are you feeding?
Watering to runoff?
Do you have a EC/PPM meter to check runoff?
If they are still growing pretty fast that is a sign that of deficiency, but this is where the EC meter really comes in handy. Early stages of overfeeding and deficiency can look very similar at first and an EC meter totally takes the guesswork out. They are a little pricy but well worth the money.

EEDIT SC = Sweet Candy and BE = Bud Explosion from GreenleafNutrients. I sadly pooped in my Megacrop and cant get more. :(
My ppm pen is fubar and is not correct... But last two I watered slightly more then max on the feeding calculator on GLN own calc.

Pooped in it? Idk why i thought this was so funny but when i read this i laughed so hard i woke up my wife laying in bed next to me. She was pissed but 100% worth it.
I feel you on the pen. Ive had 4 of them that just sucked or quit working for 1 reason or another. Then again, all mine were dirt cheap - i guess u get what u pay for! Im shopping foor 1 now on amazon and im willing to drop some coin on a good 1

haha sorry xD I dont know why but Mega Crop really clump up easily if you dont keep that bag ultra closed up, and ive even had my BE and SC for 2.5 years, never a issue with moisture. I wish I had bought ultra duper super containers and spread it out because i also think just a tiny spec of saliva on the spoon going down the bag can contaminate the whole thing. :( And yeah man, my ppm meters has been ebay 10-15euro ones so far, will go for an bluelab next time. :p

Regarding the overfeeding lockout, i will try and "flush" with like 20% runoff with clean 6.3 ph water tomorrow. :)
Also got a Berkey Filter coming in hot... my water and a friends water is 240-348ppm from the tap, after Berkey about 3-15.
What is those particles man. No wonder I am crazy.

Hard to get a lot from your notes, but yes upgrade your PPM reader to a Blue Lab or a GroLine, best money you can spend on a grow setup.

that’s a pretty big swing on you tap water, but on the low end you probably don’t need to filter it. An EC of about .4 (around 200 PPM I think) is great for nutrient solution. A Berkey usually wouldn’t reduce you PPM so drastically, so I wonder if that is an issue with the pen. If it is actually that low after the berkey, you might want to stop filtering or add calmag back to an EC of .4.

If you can get your local water report it should tell you approximately what your cal, mag, etc. values are. I couldn’t tell from your notes if you are using calmag, but if you are watering with a base ppm of 3-15 then you definitely need additional calmag in your nutrient solution.

happy growing!

Hmm great point about the calmag, i have been using mega crop which got that stuff included for years but my new jungle juice does not have it. Hmm will look at ordering up calmag. I never thought of this because my tapwater is hard?) Cheers!
