I am going to be growing in a PC case, about 26" tall, so about 18 inches max for the actual plant without burning from being too close to the lights...

So i just want the most potent and most sativa high possible (yield is less important), apparently AK-47 and NYC diesel are both about 60% sativa, 40% indica, except people still say the AK-47 is a tad more sativa'y and a tad more potent?

but the Diesel ryder is a touch shorter (18 inches, whereas the auto AK might be a bit too tall?)

And the diesel has less branching, which might be helpful due to less width in a PC grow?

And the diesel is actually stable while the AK is still unstable?

TLDR: Diesel ryder or Auto AK-47 for someone who ONLY wants as potent sativa as possible, please recommend one or the other for a newtime grower

the ak is far to large for you, the DR is shorter but still may be to large up to 25"

IMO the Diesel Ryder would be a better fit for a PC case grow. But I find it to be more indica than sativa. Except for some of the new haze crosses, I think Auto Assassin is the most sativa dwarf auto. But there are bush phenos hiding in it's gene pool. Onyx would also be another good choice.

Welcome Keshmeng to AFN....I've grown both of those often....IMO, LL will stay a bit shorter than the DR...at least under the lighting I use....either way, a bit of lst may be needed to accomodate your limited height...so I'd say grow what ya want to and be prepared to lst .......

How come they will be too big? all the descriptions say 12-18 inches, presuming an average of say 16 inches

Automatic AK47 x new york city diesel
Seeds per pack : 10
Type : Autoflowering, sativa/indica F1 hybrid
Height : 12 – 18 inches

Do they just lie?

Btw, what would be the best strain for my purposes? Will the Lowryder #2 be perfect for my height restrictions?

I dont understand how the above plant at maturity is about 2-3 inches tall, but 18 inches wont be enough? : (

Btw, the fact that i will be using soil and only about 100-150 watts of CFL's on a 20/4 (making it mature sooner), is there still no real way for a good sativa auto to fit?

THANKYOU SO SO SO SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP GUYS, you guys are amazing, thanks so much for actually amazing help and advice, i feel very welcome

you can restrict on pot size this should keep the size and yield down say put the DR in sub 1g pots rocket fuel may be better suited its listed as energetic high

Besides genetics, plant size can be controlled to a degree by the type, amount and height of the lights. With the lights closer to the plant the node spacing will be closer together, making for a smaller plant. Most of the DRs I've grown have been within the 12-18" they describe. Just remember that autos are still fairly new and are not yet 100% stable, although DR is about the most stable I've grown. Since they are not 100% stable, there can be variations in phenotype, resulting in some being bigger, some bushier, or in the case of the one in your picture, a runt.

Sativas generally grow taller than indicas and take longer to grow. Most of the early autos were breed to indicas for short stature and fast finishing. It's only in the last year or so that the auto hazes are coming onto the market. Because of the sativa influence they tend to be bigger plants. Again, I would recommend either Auto Assassin or Onyx for a short, sativa dominant auto. You may also need to LST (Low Stress Training) on them. That is a technique where the plant is gently pulled over and tied so it grows more horizontal than vertical.

Would lowryder #2 be my best bet if i cant fit a sativa, or will minimum LST and soil growing/low wattage be able to keep the auto AK's in check? or will that just cause me more problems then is worth the effort?

If im using a vape and controlling CBD vaporizing temperatures, the actual potency of THC is more important then the ratio, since i can control it right?

Btw thankyou so much for your response, please keep it coming! Ive never been on such a helpful and informative forum, this is such such a relief : )

As muddy has said it all depends you could harvest a touch early for a more up high (i say early but its probs the time listed on the descriptions). lst is not hard i screw a nail into the side of the pot and use a piece of string or ribon and yes lr2 would be easier to grow in that space but yet again some can hit 20"+ on pheno type

I've grown LR 2 and while it has it's fans, I think there are much better strains available today. Yes, the AK would probably work. Smaller pot and LST, if needed, and you should be fine.

You will find the members here are all friendly and more than willing to help anyone who is willing to listen and learn. Once you get started I hope you will start up a grow journal in the New Growers Forum so we can all follow along.
