It feels like forever since we've shown you anything we're up to at the farm. It's been madness for as long as I can remember, but fear not, always working
We've pretty much utilised most internal space, so we've now expanded into a small outbuilding which we converted here and there over the last few months.
To keep a nicer environment, we opted to have a large tent over an open room, and a 3m x 2m tent fitted perfectly.
It has 6 hps lights, so we decided to run the 4 artisanals plus walter white, and 3 bears og x walter white.
The original intention was to run 6 plants per light, but.. as with all new things, there were some teething troubles.. A day after the plants were transplanted into there and the lights switched on, the tent collapsed.. there were a handful of casualties, several plants flattened, and several a little scorched.
From memory around 6 plants were written off completely.
So they were evened out and it became 5 plants per light.
Then for space issues (needing to start off two batches from seed) we moved the plants and crammed them together to occupy 4 lights, when space became free in the main house again, the seedlings were moved back inside to get a tent each with parabolic shade - our favourite shade for tents, and especially for starting seedlings beneath.
The outbuilding a.k.a 'the pig shed' although much needed, through a combination of being monumentally busy and it being a little out of sight out of mind, this artisanal grow within has been neglected, but we've been pleased overall with the result considering the obstacles and lack of attention.
Anyway, enough jibber jabbering, here's the specs, and photos.
First 2 weeks seeds potted into 1.5 liter square pots, grown in a tent under 400w MH with other vegging photoperiods, medium - biobizz lightmix, feed - plain water only.
At sex, or a little before (feminised, so we didn't wait for sexing on all) they were potted into 15 Liter smart pots, Our re-cycled amended lightmix was the medium. A few handfuls of perlite, ewc, and a sprinkle of bat guano. And the magic ingredient... 1 biotab!
Then plain water throughout the grow.
Watering was on no schedule, just as and when.
Lighting was switched down to 400w for the entirety, HPS using radiant reflectors, quite small aircooled reflectors, but we ran without the cooling or glass.
No sprays given for pests or disease. (Both can be common here)
First up - Sour Stomper
Average height 90cm

A slightly stretchier version than the f3 grow

These were handtrimmed, very easy job.
With no stalks, the wet weight for 6 was 944g, should dry up to 236g or in old money about 1.4 oz per plant.
The sour stomper would definitely work well for a taller sea of green, there's barely any foliage allowing good penetration so we got little to no pop corn.
Sugar leaf trim was also weighed and it came to 249g
Other Sour stomper notes, we've had a pretty rainy april and always have high humidity here, plus a few days ago whilst we were out the fan circuit tripped, meaning 48 hours with no ventilation..
However zero mould, no pest or mildew damage.
The trim will be very usable to say the least.

Second batch to meet the mitch/tim scissor hands was 3 bears og, info as follows:
Average height was 60cm , this girl was 65cm

From 5x 3 BOG the wet weight was 867 grams, which should dry out to around 43g/1.5oz per plant.
The sugar trim, came to 224g wet.
A slight bit of Powdery mildew just starting on the bigger fans.
A little loss to some mould, I'd say a 10g loss.
These would be very good for a sea of green, with the plants staying stocky you'd absolutely get great penetration, coverage and yield under better conditions.
Tim says he wants to run a whole room of these for flowers.

I could find out exact dates, but not now, I'd put these around 65 days from sprout.
The next two batches we'll take down on monday, I suspect Walter white x 3bog, and grape crinkle will be next inline for the axe.
I'd just add, no training, leaf tucking, plant arranging or anything was carried out, which i'm sure would have improved yields some.
We bought blu-mats to use for this space, but didn't get them hooked up for this first run.
