Hey all.
I pop in and out. Randomly comment in threads, but enjoy reading along and learning from this awesome forum. I grow in a dedicated room with custom COB fixtures and DWC bubble buckets. About 4 grows complete of 6 plants each. Starting on my 5th grow and will be starting a journal for that soon. But wanted to recap where I have progressed from and what i am now trying.
Before I tell you about my last run let me be very clear. I have absolutely no clue what I am doing. I don’t suggest anyone try what I have done, I just want to share what I did so you can all see how I grow.

I own a BlueLab PH pen and a Hanna EC pen, but I no longer use the EC and didn’t on my last grow. I am not changing out my buckets at all during the grow. And my yields have gotten better and flowers denser each time.

I start my buckets with one scoop of MC1 (small scoop from the GH bags) no clue how big it is, in about 6 gallons of water. With that I add hydroguard and cal/mg. That’s usually enough for the first three weeks for my seedlings. Water at 6.1 PH.
When I feel the plants have enough roots, and are getting ready to push out that 3rd node I drop another scoop directly into the bucket, no mixing just right in.
Another two weeks and then I add some molasses, more hydroguard and one scoop of MC1 and one scoop of GH maxi bloom. At this point the plants are drinking and stretching so I monitor the PH daily. If it stays the same I let it drink down 2-3 gallons before topping with a scoop and water. If the PH drops with the water I top up with plain water. If the PH goes up the way add MC and MB.
I’ve finished the last three plants this way with no water changes and had no lockout or growth issues.
I know I’m probably asking for trouble but it has been working for me, and I’m lazy so I love it.
Pictures or it didn’t happen so here are some bad phone pictures of one of the FB GG4 that just came down and is drying. Feels like an easy 5 zips but I’ll update when done.
Also a Greenhouse Seed Co, Jack Herrer that’s coming down tomorrow. Dense and stacked but a smaller plant so maybe 3-4 ?

Here is a Critical plus CBD, maybe week4 or five. I also don’t count days

light setup, each pair is a 3k and 4K Cree

here are 2 Mephisto Northern Cheese haze

and these will hopefully be 5 Mephisto Forgotten Cookies

ill journal the Forgotten cookies when they get 4-5 weeks old. If all 5 survive the 1 will stay in this room under the Cobs and 4 will go into a separate room under 4K QBs

I like your style, and your willingness to try new things.
If it ain't broke don't fix it applies.
It's always struck me as strange that growers don't feel the need to remove and replace soil, coco, etc, every 10 days, but believe that's necessary for the medium called water.
Personally, I remove and replace 1 gal out of 12 in two reservoirs every day, and never do a complete flush.
But maybe I'm still working too hard, and might try your style next time.

GG4 dried to 62% and weighed in at 214g very happy with that. Under 100w gottalove that. That’s my highs I far on my 4rth grow.

Got five of these Forgotten cookies all looking the part at maybe 10 days or so

And here the Critical CBD stretching in dirty old water. Topped her of with plain water with just epsom in it today. Feed-water-feed from here on out.

Wow — just found this thread. I’m a new DWC grower myself, just started my second grow. Can’t wait to see those Forgotten Cookies! I’ve got a few set aside myself.

How much water do those containers hold? I’m in 5 gallon buckets but 3.5 gallons ends up being full.

How did you decide to do away with res changes? Did you just keep putting it off (my signature move ) or what? I can’t believe you didn’t run into problems. I’m not that lucky!

Buckets hold 8 gallons to the top, I run about 5. Except mid flower when the drink heavy then I probably run 6.5. Right up half way up the net pot (yeah more rule breaking).
Started with first run that I didn’t want to change water. Took a bit to realize I needed to back of nutrients and watch more carefully. Locked out a plant or two learning but now had smooth sailing. I’ll probably document the Forgotten cookies here now but need to step up my AFN game.

I wholly believed in the “push the nutrients till slight tip burn” philosophy. Then after this experiment I started to think. Just know the max amount they can take doesn’t mean that’s the amount they need. So know I try and give them just what they need. As long as the older growth is darkening up I don’t mind keeping the newer stuff slightly pale through veg and pre flower. My old way plants were dark green with slight yellow tips and by full flower plants were near black they were so dark. Who knows what’s right but it’s working well for me now, so I’ll ride it out

So here’s the Critical plus CBD moving along. She is 30 inches around now, needs a trim. Small plant to the bottom right is also a stunted Critical Plus CBD. See what happens there. Still perfecting the transition from germ to DWC. Humidity and light changes happened to suiclky with the stunted one.

LittleForgotten cookies are moving right along. Roots are growing like crazy. MC and DWC

Norther cheesehaze, what nice structure @mephisto stems are so thick it’s crazy. One of the branches at the first node has divided into two. Those buds should be twice as strong lol
