My little Critical + plant at day 61 is starting to show some browning and upward curling on several of the top leaves around the main cola. Growing in a TLO style soil built off a mix from tlosoils.com. She's auto watered by a Blumat and given a once a week supplemental hand watering with a compost tea. Tea was a couple days ago. Cal/Mag supplement added into the tea, though thinking back a couple days I may have spaced it. 50/50 not sure if I did or didn't. My suspicions are either cal/mag missing, or that she got a little overwatered with the tea this week.

Growing under @100W of a DIY COB fixture at a couple feet away (they have to be a little on the high side to accomodate another plant in the closet that's taller). Haven't checked the PH on the water going into the carbon filter or out in a while, so I'll double check that later today to see if there's been any big change in the source water.

Thanks for thoughts, opinions, advice, etc...etc....

You are definatly getting some deficienceies starting to show up. What is the pH of your medium? I know in TLO the pH is supposed to be way less important, but it will still influence nutrient uptake. Certainly appears to be some Ca issues, and l belive the P is starting to run low. You are a little too far along to recommend foliar feeding as your buds are too big IMO. If your medium pH is not out of line, I would definatly be adding more Ca/Mg to the tea feedings. Not sure about organic P sources, I've read that beet roots are high in P, but I do know that the red color is like a permanent dye. I would consider some type of P/K boost along with the Ca/Mg. I hope this helps. She looks damn nice right now, it would be a shame to see her go to pieces this late in the grow.

I'll have to dig around and see if I can find the soil PH probe I had. If I remember right, though, it always read 7.0 no matter what I stuck it in (including stuff like lemon juice) so I never really trusted it much. :crying:

Lights out for now, so won't be doing anything until this evening. My thinking for now is I'll do a little finger probing for moisture level in the soil, and if she feels dry enough hook her up with a decent dose of cal mag in a smaller amount of water type feeding.

Thanks for weighing in, @Heavily Medicated !!! :greenthumb:

Was reading a little on organinc P sources and someone mentioned guano. Remembed I had some of this on hand and after checking the numbers will probably toss some in with the cal/mag supplement...

Gave her a hit of the Oily Cann (cal/mag) and Big Bloomin Guano (P) supplements this evening. Mixed a little on the strong side and then gave her a smaller dose since there was some trace moisture in the soil. Gave the extra to the Blue Amnesia since if I did forget the cal/mag in the tea the other night she'll be missing it as well.

Thanks again for taking the time to check her out and weigh in!!!

O3, got ya at your thread too,... the fuano is incomplete, with only P in there,..K is critical, especially toward the end, especially for resins and aromatics formation,....Roots OrganicsHPK or GO BioBloom are good for this, and the Ca-Mg should be full dose,... :smoking:

I'll have to look into the K boosters you mentioned, or maybe see if Earth Juice has one since I've got thier stuff for everything else right now.

For now, though, the P and cal/mag boosts look to have slowed and/or maybe halted the discoloring as far as I can tell. Always a little hard to guage for me with how slow plant growth progresses, so trying to get some shots from night to night to compare. She'll be due for another tea in a couple nights (starting it breweing in the morning), so I'm going to give her another shot of both the cal/mag and P supplements with it.

Thanks again, everyone!!!:greenthumb:
