Right now, I'm probably 30 days from harvest. Currently, it's been in the 90's(F) on a consistent basis with pretty high humidity. What will it be in 30 days? Who knows? But I don't think it's unreasonable to assume it will be in the 80's.

Above being said..... my dry methodology is limited. Specifically, I can't possibly do it indoors. I'm pretty much relegated to my out-building. No windows, one roof vent. It gets pretty hot in there but no sunlight. I've got no other options; not even the garage. How adversely will this effect the final product?

Do you happen to grow inside with a char can handling odors?...If so...I duct my drying bin into my charcan controlled tent and capture ALL odors with one swoop!...Also duct central ac into dry bin for a bit of coller temps during drying...works like a charm...Good luck on your dry method.....be sure to move some air 'around' your buds wherever you do it...

Thanks for the replies. I have an outdoor grow. No electricity in the outbuilding. My problem is that NO ONE in my household knows about my endeavor and I need to keep it that way. And no.... I do not live with my mom and dad........:D

look into silica gel. big bag of that in a sealed container and you can keep indoors.

Can always water cure it man...!
Its not a bad method; big jar, pack med/lite w/ weed, fill completely w/ water (no air bubbles) & seal. Repeat said method for 7 days, air dry(bout 12hrs & they'll be dry) & jar. It pretty much removes all taste & smell but the potency is good as ever.

I was just about to pop in and mention that. I've heard of people lighting up right by cops and they don't know any the better. Plus, gives it a faster turnaround, and for edibles, too, it's fantastic without that taste.

Green or dry bud in the water? I've tried it with dry and it worked pretty good. Is it recommended for undried?

It works equally well with green buds. I'll never make oil again without first doing a water cure. Removes virtually all the taste.

drying pot outside

i look for a dense area close to the grow --way to thick to grow in but will work for drying. clean out a small area under cover hang chicken wire up 3 or so foot off ground and other side 4 or 5 foot off ground.lay buds out <do not layer>on chicken wire so air will move through it easily.around 10 days you will be ready to bring home and cure in jars or however you may cure.a few big growers here where i live do exacilly that .its 8 or 10 degrees cooler under the thicker brush, that is not expert advice, justthat of a guitar pickin --overall wearing---cussin----weed smokin ---southern--country boy

tent it only when needed if possible but yes will work
