Am I supposed to have two different lights as for the veg and flower stages?

generally speaking mj plants do grow better with different lights (or colour spectrum) at different stages of the grow.. you can get mixed spectrum lights, led lights are built with mixed spectrum. you can also get mixed spectrum hps bulbs, if not use a metal halide bulb during veg then a hps bulb through flowering..

:peace:

well I don't know if this is good or what but I was planning on going with the 125w 6500k for the veg while I'd use the 2700k for flowering?

thats fine depending on size of growing are etc.
probably underlit if youre lighting anything other than a small space but it will grow.
to get dense buds you need intense light though more important in flower than veg so you could sort something out by then if needed.

im currently debating which cfls are best.. if you go onto the new posts and check beal's m15 auto assasin grow you will see he is using just 14000k lights, his grow is looking sweet.. alot of people say to use just blue 6400k.. so my theory now is that the higher k rating the better, but i cant guarantee this is true im just going by what i have seen.. in my cfl light i have, 125w 2700k 125w 6400k and a 250w 14000k.. i havent used my 14000k light yet as im currently setting up..

if your getting both bulbs have them on at the same time, maybe the first week just use the blue 6400k then week 2-3 put the red in too... my last grow i started with a 125w 6400k + 2700k and they worked perfectly..

probably not the best answer but i feel we still have a lot to learn with cfl's.. get a 14000k too and have all 3 colours !!!:peace:

this is a picture of "beal" mi5 auto assasin grow, i hope beal dont mind but i think this should be shown to all cfl debaters.. this was with 3 200w 14000k cfls..

Woah damn, his girls look good. I really want to get the most and highest yield I can I know nutes come into effect there but I also think lighting helps too so I want to get that squared away.
From what I've found I have seen people use the 65k at first and some people have combined both but I figured if flowering does good in red spectrum, I could just get another 2700k, would that be fine?

Thanks for using the color temperature in K that is really clear. What isn't clear is when you talk about watts of the bulb. If you used the term lumens I would know what size the bulb is. If this is too technical perhaps telling us what the watts term you are using means. Equivilant watts to an incandesent bulb. I know what that means or perhaps. The number of watts the bulb actually draws. The same bulb can be measured with the following three terms. They all describe the same bulb. 3,000 lumens, equivilant to 200 watts and 45 watts draw. Pick one but tell us which it is. Other than that it is just confusing.

hey nelson, i do apologise for not stating the lumens.. here go's

my 125w growlights are maxibright brand, 6400k + 2700k, 125w, 5500 lumens.
my new powerplant envirogrow cfl 14000k, 250w, 15000 lumens..

so my grow light totals at 26000 lumens.. is this good?? i dunno???:peace:
