Indoor light sensitivity during dark period of autos

Got something I've been chewing on for a bit. Its been said the hormone which triggers flowering in mj is degraded by light; which is the reason photos need 12 hours of dark, it gives the hormone enough time to build to the point of flowering. Now if autos or Rudy don't require the dark to allow those hormone levels to raise, or if the hormones in Rudy and autos isn't light sensitive, Then does it matter if the plant receives some light during the dark period? As we know with photos, light pollution during dark can cause hermies and other issues with the affected plants. Are autos immune to this??

I don't think there should be a problem for autos. Since they will flower under any light regime
So I'm going to have to say yes they are 'immune' to light leaks

Autos still have a "trigger" to flower by age. I would say it's within a genetic lock that "unzips" with a trigger much like other plants and creatures. For example age triggers an "unsipping" of genetic code for hormone production in humans that we call puberty.

Soy beans are also triggered by light cycles.

Some fruit trees don't produce fruit until a certain age.

I believe we're looking at two different genetic types that trigger the "unlocking" to flower.
In Autos, age.
In Photos, Light change, it is so much wrote by light changes that you can actually "re-zip" and stop flowering and revert. However, over-time there is a general degradation of the plant anyway.

In all my time on the forums I've not heard of anyone having issues with light leaks causing hermies in autos. A quick in and out wouldn't really hurt anyway. It's the constant leaks that cause the problems with photos.
