Light question

Hello, everyone! A couple light questions if you don't mind:

I have a 3 x 3 grow tent and I'm looking to replace my 250 watt HPS which I don't feel is enough for that space. What would be the HPS equivalent of an 800 watt cob LED light and would it be enough power for a 3 x 3? Thanks.

not many 800w leds pulling 800w from the wall,more like 400.and yes :smoking:
i think 180w from the wall led is enough for my 50x100cm

I'm with archie, anything pulling at least 200w from the wall should be good for a 3x3.

I'm running 450W of DIY COBS, 9 total 200W on one driver and 250W on the other wires like this

Allows me to turn off the outside 5 and just run the 4, or all dimmed, or all full on... or...

Your in a little more than half the sq ft (9), 250W of cob will be fine, even for a photo run.

I used to run 1000w hps, this is more than acceptable. VPD changes, your temps will go 80 to 85 instead of the low 70s. Other than that... E bill goes down too...
Might look at quantum boards though, that would be my choice at this time.
