Hello to all! My first time was ruined by ugly hairy balls! Totally my fault, but now I'm trying it again with a lot more experience and knowledge. I'm making some changes this time that I should have done and wanted to do the first time.

I was reading a journal where the guy planted his seedling on the side of the pot so he could train his plant to grow around the outside of the pot. Brilliant idea!! I'm going to try his method with the Northern Lights since she is a big girl.

I am also going to go hydro with the Sour Diesels
I will be pony tailing and LST the Sour Diesels since they tend to be shorter and denser.

I will also be planting only 1 Northern Lights and 2 sour diesels this time
So here goes nothing!

My set up: 2x2x6 grow tent with carbon filter/fan thingy (set up correctly this time) Thank you greenjeans and Krypt247
Lights: 1 400 watt HPS with reflector

Medium: Airpot with a soil mix of Happy Frog and Ocean Forest.
Two DWC 5 gallon buckets

Nutes: General Organics Go Box and will water with PH adjusted tap water
RX green solutions for the hydro

Misc: hygro meter, PH meter, small interior fan

Beans have started to crack and I have my soil mixed, watered, and warming up.

Time to get started:biggrin:

1st question. I just remembered I don't have any rockwool or seed starter things. Can I just put the seeds right onto the hydro basket? I would go get some, but winter isn't the time to find any gardening supplies around here.

I have gone in to straight hyrdrotron after they are showing tails before. Makes sure the water is right under netpot and the air stone is strong e nuff to have a little mist of water keeping the pot moist, or what not. Not sure its a beginners thing..... Unless you think you are comfortable trying it.

:finger: No skinning cats!! The cat will win!!
Hum... Not sure if I'm brave enough yet to go all redneck/DIY. I've got a little time to see if I can get some seed plugs. If not, I guess I'll have to put on my big girl panties and go for it.

Not mine she loves to much..... She becomes putty in my hands. Lol. Even with grow plugs I would recommended same water level.... When I first started I made a bunch of beans so I could play around with them. Ton of fun.

Good luck cat woman I'm rooting for you play it safe and try get rockwool or jiffy cubes IV only grown in soil so don't know alot about dwc but hear it gives great yields.
Love the setup chick happy gardening
