Lighting Less odor with led?

I'm finishing up my first grow after switching from hps to led. I really like less heat in the tent and the lower power usage, but I am noticing a major difference in the smell of my weed...the plants appear healthier during the grow and the buds seem fuller, but that classic skunk smell is just not there. Each of my 4 plants are different strains. Trics appear to mature about the same as hps but the Terps are hiding.
Being so used to and liking a good skunky weed smell, I hope less smell doesn't translate into less potency. I'm drying my first plant, a auto dark devil, with really beautiful purple buds and am a bit anxious about it. Guess I'll find out after a month of cure.
Anyone else notice this with led?

I've seen people suggest 80-85f temps because the leds run so cool that the lead surface temperature stays low so higher temps to compensate. I could be wrong

This is just a guess, but maybe the air around a hot hps causes greater volatility of the terpenes, so that more escape to enter your nose, but that the hps doesn't increase them.

I crank my heat up when nearing harvest. Tends to amber faster, taste better and smells up the whole house just having a jar open.

Interesting thought! My tent stays 75-77f when lights are on which is 7-10 less than hps. Guess my evaluation will now include possible potency.
However happy I am with led so far, if potency is affected, some rethinking may be in order. As popular as led has become, I'd figure others may have noticed this.

What are you growing that smells like classic skunk? I can’t find anything remotely close to old school road kill skunk & I grow photos. Duke Diamond/dominion seeds went to Afghanistan to hand pick seeds in hopes of finding it , hopefully. I’m going to try his genetics but they are pricey! Regarding the smell issue, if you go in a porta-shitter In July it’ll stink more then December lol. Heat makes shit smell stronger !

Test have shown under 4K the test was done that on average across a few different strains that led produced stronger bud on an average of 2% higher thc. Not sure what it did for cbd this was on a large scale vs hps. It was a test a grow facility did when deciding to go led or not. They did a small sample run were happy so split their space ina half basically led vs hps. Have no clue where I found It but I can look again. Terpenes were also higher

Swiss cheese auto and Pakistani ryder come to mind when I think of skunk. Perhaps the heat of hps was the difference...

LEDs did prove themselves to be good for growing...jury is still out on potency. I'm drying a nice fat dark devil right now, with gorilla girl photo, 2 auto pineapple Express, and auto Ruby Stone finishing so I have a range to test.
