Led in 2x2x4?

Hello all.
I was planning on using a 3 gallon fabric pot in a 2x2x4 tent. After putting everything together I’m beginning to think I won’t have enough height. I was planning to use a vipaspectra 300. Will this be too much for such a short tent? I have two 150 watt cfls that I can use instead but I reallly wanna use this led. Thoughts?
Strain will be auto white widow from seedsman.

I’m considering also just using 1 gallon pots for this size. The 1 gallon will be short enough with this set up.

hmmm...well, the 300 may be ok in that size, but may need a bit of dimming, idk...all i know for sure from me own experience, and seemingly contrary to all the new age hi tech out there, is that plantz in veg simply luv fluro lighting! jus make sure it'z the 6500k for veg they'll also flower jus fine under cfl, but can tend to be airy, and that'z where ur 300 will come in fine...and yup, while they may rezult in a slightly lower yield, 1 gal potz & good ol' lst will def help u control the size of the girlz, including height...my 2 NL girlz are in 2 gal potz & are def fillin out my 2x3x4 area, lol ppp

I just harvested 3 plants in a 2x2x4 using a QB96 Elite v2 from HLG with a Meanwell HLG-240H-54A driver. Tons of mistakes but still pulled 3 oz of some good quality.

Entire setup ran just under $500

Ok well with that being said I think I’ll stay with the 1 gallon sizes. I’m just really torn on if I should stay with the CFL all the way through or if I should try to use the LED. My only worry is running out of height considering the LED Has to be so far away from the canopy. I absolutely plan on LSting

Im running a ts1000 quantum board in my 2x2x4 tent, i should have space, and the light is dimmable so that can help get around lack of heigth.
Im at 50% power atm, about 38 days in to the grow
The pot is about 8" tall and is on a 4" riser

You can definitely use a vipar 300 in a 2x2x4 tent. You will have to find your own way of hanging it though. You will lose most of your plant height because of how low the light hangs. Just find a way to hang it as close to the top of the tent as you can get.

What's the budget? HLG is a good route to go down - a lot of bang for your buck. 2 HLG100 would be perfect as they have a 2' x 2' flowering footprint.

Ehh. I jumped the gun and all ready bought the set up. The light was on sale . I picked up the vipraspectra 300.

You can definitely use a vipar 300 in a 2x2x4 tent. You will have to find your own way of hanging it though. You will lose most of your plant height because of how low the light hangs. Just find a way to hang it as close to the top of the tent as you can get. View attachment 1087789

So an option might be just leave it at the highest point possible for the entire duration and just LST and not adjust the height ?
