Shopping for light to add to my grow. Only used CFL's in past grows so not sure what is best. I only grow 3-4 autos at a time so don't need too big of a light but would like to maximize the plants potential. I have a budget around $200-250(Canadian). I've been looking at the king plus 1000w on amazon and the 600w mars hydro on ebay and wondering which is best choice. Or if there is a better option in my price range please feel free to add. Only interested in LED though.

Thanks and Happy Growing

Go to amazon page down to Read all verified purchases, then click see all negative reviews. Is it true they recommend not running more than 8 hours at a time? Someday we will all buy cheap disposable lights. But not today. If that's what they are selling out there for $200 even I would try to learn how to use a soldering gun.

I would suggest that you take the approach of 1 led light per two plants maximum. Even if a little less wattage, you will get a better light spread with two.

I thing for that amount a small cob build can work. I think timber has small cobkits for sale. Not sure of the pru e though . Worth checking out. Or a quantum board build not sure if they have in stock now heard they were sold out.
If you got the mars I think eventually you could upgrade it with cobs.
