Hi All,
I'm pretty excited. I had never done a seed grow, not to mention creating my own hybrid. Last year I crossed a lowberry (Dutchbreed's cross of a lowryder and a Dutch Passion blueberry) and an auto AK 47 from Lowlife (AK47 and lowryder).

I took the seeds, packaged them up, and froze them. I planted them 8 weeks ago, and this is what I got! However, this picture is at 6 weeks old, two weeks ago. What do you think? It's only under a 90W UFO, so I'm thinking it would look nicer with more light. Oh well, I do the best with what I've got. Good times!

Now at 8 weeks and one day, she's filling out. She got some of the berry smell from the lowberry, and the spice of the AK47. She smells like a spicy blueberry!

Looks good man!!!! Only one 90w huh, cool. Looks really good for one 90w lol. I bought ten about five years ago.... mine alone sucked, by adding t5s helped. Im going to try them in a 10x20 green house i got. Hoping i can extend the growing season. What size pot you using?

Thanks Sourdough! Oh, I do have a big CFL to get those lower areas.
This plant is growing in a 3-gallon pot.

For my greenhouse I wouldn't need more light, but more heat, as it's unheated.

My green house is going to be attached to our work shop. Hopefully the wood stove in shop will be good enuff to keep the green house warm. Ive been making my own seeds for 3 years. My strategy has been cold adaptation. During the winter i have been letting plants that i chose my parents from cold downin high 30°… Makes for some small plants but im hoping it will help with outdoor grow. Last year i grew some pretty big plants for this being Ak. I have seeds from 5 mothers to try this summer. Im excited. Dont know if seeding them like that will help or not but its an experiments...

Nice looking plant AK1 looks like a good cross.

Thanks AKNorthernLights! It's been fun. Now I'm at a place where I don't know if I should chop it now or not. Although I'm only at 8 and 1/2 weeks, so probably not. The trichs are over 30% amber, but only on some leaves. Ugh. I always have a hard time knowing just when to chop. It's in full flower and the leaves still look good. So I've decided to let it go longer, but I'm concerned the THC is degrading. I'll watch it and go to plain water soon. Still, 30% amber seems high for where the plant appears to be.

Looking good 1! Depends on how you like your high. Uppity? take her now. Mellow high with some sleepy time behind it? let it go another week and a half. Lights out, couch lock, drool on yourself? take her to 12 weeks! Depends on your liking. Either way, glad to see us AKers, gettin out breeding on!

Thanks Briman! I just got back from a weekend away at my cabin. The buds have really filled out in 3 days. I'll post some more pics soon. I'm thinking I'll have 2 oz. off each from these plants. We'll see!
Next I'm looking at ordering some regular seeds for MI5. I didn't realize until reading that MI5 is basically the best AK47 plant, so I'm really looking forward to that. Anyone here grown an MI5?

Hey Sourdough, that sounds like fun! Have you tried growing outdoors here in AK? I'm thinking about stashing a plant or two in my garden this year, probably burying one gallon pots so they don't' get too large. I'm wondering how they will do here. Cold tolerant would be a great trait to breed. I just brought one of my hybrid plants to a friend, and just bringing it to the car caused all of the new growth to shrivel, and she didn't look normal again for a couple of hours. This plant does NOT like the cold. What strain(s) are you using for your experiment?
