The optimal day temperature range for cannabis is 24 to 30 °C (75 to 86 °F). Temperatures above 31 °C (88F) and below 15.5 °C (60F) seem to decrease THC potency and slow growth. At 13 °C (55F) the plant undergoes a mild shock, though some strains withstand frost temporarily.

I will achieve this by using a heater with digital display and comfort settings.
In combination with the heater, the carbon filter and fan are on a speed controller which I will connect it to a temperature controller.

This is a closed environment setup in a basement.

hey buddy. i caught your other thread. i take it that did that turm out to be bud rot then? nightmare. : (
hope you get it all sorted mate. fingers crossed for success this time round : )

Today I hooked up the dehumidifier and set it to 50% humidity .

It blows out warm air so I'm thinking no heater during lights on, we will see.

As of now temperatures lock in at 68 degrees when the light are off. The fan and filter will be left on 24/7 on a speed controller set to its lowest settings.

Day time temperatures are 82° with the fans off. I need 75 to 77°.

Today's the first day of testing the environment .

What kinda strains are you running or planning on to do ? :pass::cheers:

SUN - 7/9 76°/ 53°actual temperatures.

The sun goes down around 9pm, that's when the lights will turn on for the first hour of the 18/6 light schedule. So, we will now start logging our findings. The only things on for tonight's trial is the dehumidifier and lights.

As it sit we are locked in to 79°.
The time is 9:15pm

The dehumidifier is reading a different humidity then the thermometer.
It's fan is on low.

When I install the fans and turn on the carbon filter and fan, I know I can drop the temperature is a little bit more.

Remember this basement has over 99% humidity .

We are locked in at 77° ( it doesn't seem to change that much). If the dehumidifier is right we're all set. There is about a 10 percent difference between monitors. Who do i believe?

Something is off.

I turned the lights off, now just the dehumidifier is on.

Update- the lights have been off for about 2 hours, The temperature remains at 77°

The dehumidifier seems to be working. I will let run until the daytime. The lowest humidity was 52 on what I think is a broken meter, it says my top temperatures for today was 179°, no way!

I would like to see the difference in temperature outside versus basement versus tent.
Today's the second day of testing the environment .

Today is Monday The time is 12:24AM

Basement temperatures are 72° and the humidity is 86% both are locked in place.

The Tent is 77 degrees locked in place. The dehumidifier reads 52% humidity .

The messed up gadget reads 61 going down.

Each time I enter the tent the humidity shoots up to the moon.

It's been 77 degrees for 16 hours with the lights on or off.

The dehumidifier seems to add 5 degrees to the over all temps.

The fan and filter are now off.
