Is two of these good for a 8’x4’ tent or is it overkill?. I’m not worried about spending too much, I just would rather have too much than too little light.

That looks like a really sweet light. That is lots of power to allow you to operate further away from your plants, which will provide more light to lower parts of the canopy without toasting the top. If I was not already set up in my 4x4, and had the money to throw at it, that light would be high on my list. I love the bar design for light distribution too. I suspect that that design will become the norm before long among higher end lights because the distribution is so nice.

It looks amazing!! I love that the driver is removable. Does it put off much heat? And was it easy to install?My FC6500 takes up literally every inch of my 4x4, so they'd be touching each other and you'd be bar to bar in the middle of the tentI'm not sure if the bars are moveable

I'd say wait for the black Friday sale but Mars has my light for like $120 less right now then I paid for mine a couple months ago. I think you can use code AFN for a couple $ off too
Not that much heat. I can definitely keep my hand on the driver but I keep it on top of the tent so I can get the light up as high as possible. Probably gonna be a bit of a pain to hang 2 right next to each other but it's just some hangers and wires to plug in
