I am curious about this, as I am doing it, more or less, based on my own acquired knowledge of organic-based soil mixes.
I am bubbling the Hi-Brix (Molasses for plants) for 24-48 hours typically, in a gallon of distilled water, by itself.
I then pour-in my General Organics liquid nutes one at a time (BioGrow/BioBloom/BioRoot/BioBud/CaliMagic) and then feed immediately after mixing those in (to avoid PH issues, which works, I never have to measure PH, and no longer see deficiencies or prob's related to that and haven't for about a year now).
I know the Molasses provides carbs for micro herds so that they are kept alive and thriving. I also know the Gen Organics are molasses-based products, but they are fairly weak at suggested amounts (so I use KoolBlooms right now, non-organic I realize, but they are essential for me to get worthwhile yields out of 12-24" plants in a closet case grow).
In any case, does "bubbling" the water provide any benefit to the molasses itself? (break it down, etc..,)
I am under the impression that bubbling the distilled water (or any water) fills it with oxygen that sort of energize the root zone and micro herd when applied, albeit temporarily.
So if THAT is true, does it provide any benefit to the molasses? Or is that only the case when you are combining the molasses with, say, Worm Castings or Guano? (in what is basically a tea then)
Or am I just wasting my time?
(P.S. - Soil mix is a mix of
OF, HF, Ancient Forest Humus, Soil Sweetener, Rare Earth, and a bit of Rare Earth minerals, I do not re-pot or re-plant autos).
By the way - the Ancient Forest has been key for me, in keeping my PH in-line as well I believe, plants have really been healthy and larger since using it in combination with everything else.
Thanks for reading all of that...if you did.
