I have heard that there is little difference in THC level between seeded and sensimillia weed, just less weed by weight because of the weight of the seeds. My thought is that as buds mature, there is a time of peak resin production that passes as the seeds mature.
If you would like to select for potency, hand pollinating 1 or 2 buds and leaving the rest for sensimillia production and harvest at the peak seems to make sense. I have not read about this technique, but wonder if this is how you could select the seeds from the plants that were the highest potency.

Thanks

Yes, it would help if one plant in a strain is particularly stronger than the others.
If the difference is marginal I am not sure it matters.
But the method for getting seed you describe is fairly common growers.

Theoretically when the plant is seeded (not counting a hand pollinated bud) it puts its effort into growing the seeds and not new flowers and thc. The flowers that are there and pollinated still have thc. If the whole plants is seeded you either harvest when the trichromes are the desired color/ratio or when the seeds are mature.

Thanks...I did find the partial plant pollination technique after I wrote the post, and will probably do that, keeping good records of seeds and buds.
