I think most of you know i'm growing c.caramel and so far there doing great. They are all in three gal pots and all have been given the same nutes and same growing conditons. The only question I have is two are in promix ultamite organic and one is in ffof. The two in promix grew like crazy and are now over 32 inches high the one in ffof is doing super but only at 24 inches. Is it the soil or is the strain unstable giving me the height difference.I have seen other members grow of a certain strain also show substancial differnce in height with all things egual.:peace::smoke:

It's most likely the plants, different phenotypes. The Pro Mix Organic is a new product and I believe you are one of the first to try it. It could be making a difference but to me I'd be more inclined to think it was the plants. Autos, being relatively new, still aren't full stabilized and it's pretty common to see at least 2-3 different phenos in a given strain.

:DThats what I was thinking also, now if I had maybe five each in the different soil and all turned out that way then you could say it's the soil. The only thing so far i learned the promix holds water a little longer than the ffof. The roots must be doing super with the mycorise because i'm almost watering every day and that tells me the roots have filled most of the pot.

I agree, you would have to do a bigger grow to get a better sampling.

Mycohorrizal fungi are the shits. I saw a big difference once I started using them. You can buy it separately and add it to the FFOF. I use the Humbolt Myco Madness. Great White is another good one.

Hey if you contact Great White they will send you a sample. I got mine, but I'm not sure how to use it yet. I haven't really read the directions as of yet.

:D:booya:I'm using roots organic oregonismxl by aurora 4oz bag twenty bucks. You can mix the powder with the soil or mix it with water and put about 6 tbl of it per plant and thats what I did on my w.widow about a week ago along with some shultz tomato food and the little whore is growing like jack in the beanstalk. Ihave it in a air pot so somthing is working ,like Muddy says its the shits,or it could be the cats meow!!!!

I think that the sample size (number of plants) is too small to come to a conclusion yet. It could be the genetics or the soils. I would want to see more grows in these two types of soils to be convinced of either potential cause.

you are right, next grow I will try a more conclusive experiment.
