Hi, this might be an unusual question, but is it possible to make my plants go into flower later?

In about two weeks I need to let someone into my basement so I need to get the tent and equipment out of there a day or two at the most. My plan is to put the plants in my bedroom hidden behind something. My worry is that if they have gone into flower the smell might be obvious so in that case I would rather just throw them out. But if I can delay flower somehow, I'll feel safe.

Setup: 8x4 tent, fast buds Blue Dream in soil, autopots, biotabs, leds.

Do you have an extraction fan and filter? You could put the plants in a cupboard and run the fan and filter to get rid of the smell. Exhaust out a window if doable, or just into the bedroom as a scrubber. That would likely keep the smell out of the rest of the house, at least out of the basement. Exhaust out the window would be best if you can do it. I am assuming that whoever is coming does not have to go into the bedroom. Is there anywhere else in the house where you could set up the tent out of sight for a couple days?

Once the plants are potted, delaying the onset of flowering much is not feasible with autoflowers. In my noob opinion, really large pots slow things down a bit, but since I assume yours are already in their final pots, that does not help you.

In any case it would be a damn shame to pitch them out at this stage. I would be figuring out how to keep them out of the way for a day or two, but if your are in an illegal jurisdiction, doing that comes with risks. Even where grows are legal, getting the word out invites thieves.

Good luck with it. :pighug:
