Introducing myself, rate my setup

What's up everyone? First off a freaking insanely huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributes here! I've been doing a lot of research before my first grow and I've learned more on this site than anywhere else. Ya'll are an awesome community.

I haven't purchased anything yet, but here is what I'm tentatively planning. I would like to stress that this is strictly for personal use and I far value quality over quantity. In fact, I promised my wife (who is reluctantly allowing this) I would only be growing for my 1-1.5 oz/month habit and nothing more. If I end up with more than I can toke I'll probably just give it away to friends. So 5-6 Oz per grow would be fine. Hence not looking for a Cadillac setup and also want to keep costs reasonable.

• 24"x48"x60" vivosun tent (can't go any bigger due to space limitations)
• AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S4, Quiet 4” Inline Duct Fan with Speed Controller. I want something quiet because tent will be very close to my media/Xbox area. Very short distance to vent location so will need only a few feet of ducting
• Mars hydro ts1000 full spectrum LED. Read a lot about how full spectrum white is the way to go versus the blurple FS LED. I don't want to have to build my own light so want something out of the box in $150 range.
• Coco/perlite medium at 70/30 ratio. Thinking this is easiest for first timer.

So what do ya'll think?

If you want to go with mars hydro for that tent I would recommend this light over the one above. Just my personal opinion. Looks like a good starting point for sure!

Can you explain the difference between the TS and SP models? Seems like the TS1000 actually costs a bit more on Amazon so figured it would be superior

The SP models use max well drivers. And just generally a better built product imo. Can’t recall the diodes brand off the top of my head.

I'm looking at Chemdogging strain from Mephisto for my first grow. Chendawg I had like 10+ years ago was my all time favorite smoke so I feel like it'll be a winner for me

hi and @Z Pops personal grow dont need much more than a 2x2 :smoking: giving some to a few pals is cool its when they think it will be a regular thing,or start ringing you up or txting and saying things that shouldnt be said but in a face to face no smell no sell no tell.................some friends need a good kick in the balls.
coco can grow some big beautifull plants,but it can give more trouble than some light soil with some perlite added.
what nutrients ? ph pen,ec probe,can be a few hiden £ extras involved in a grow.
