Took delivery today of this extremely well built resin press. It works right out of the box. Put in 2 grams of gg4 and got .5 gram of top quality resin.Very easy to read instructions and comes with puck press, mat and set of tools.
Highly recommend for $400 Canadian.
I purchased off Amazon and the only press with 5 stars. Now need advise on best strain for resin/oil. Cheers @F.N.

Works awesome, very easy to use and weighs about 30lbs. Easy controls and lots of pressure.
3 grams in .8 out of green crack. Highly recommended

Return it if you can dude. The clam shell press is not efficient at all, and doesn't create enough pressure for optimal yields. Your best bet is getting heated plates with a hand pump jack. Best value, and yields aren't sacrificed once you got your tech down.

If you're only pressing small amounts of flower, this press may suit your needs but in my experience the hand pump is unbeatable.

I am only pressing small amounts at a time. 3 grams of dried flower gets me .8 of resin. It clamps down quite satisfactorily. Have you used this one?

Those are honestly great yields; rosin has the lowest yield/return of any of the primary extraction methods. Rosin is mostly flower dependent in my own experience; we've had frosty nugs not yield dick for rosin, then other buds just flow like a fountain. If you can get 25-30% return, you're doing fine. Get yourself some rosin bags for kief and flower and you'll step up the "clean" of the product considerably too.

Right on, thanks. is there a certain bag that better then others? I'm new to this extraction deal.
