Nice to see new inventions for our needs as growers.

Interesting if you're growing hydro, I guess?

enjoy,

I wonder who the target market is.. After reading all of the info and watching the video, I'm guessing it's for beginners or those who hate ph'ing.. But if they hate ph'ing, they probably don't grow using hydro. The video said it keeps the ph between 5.7 and 6.2.. We do that already ourselves, lol. If it was able to be set at an exact number, that would be something worth me looking into.

I think the target is large commercial grows. Smallest size is 35 gallons. I've heard bigger ops employ some ppl whose job is literally to just go around pHing the rezes.

Just a guess:smoking:

Similar to this but not device-dependent, presumably not requiring flow through an affinity chromatography column, Mantis is a 1-part base nutrient used from birth-harvest that includes a novel buffer system that requires no pH adjustments. See https://mantisbufferednutrients.com.
Ehhh, it's not the same type of buffer.. This is an actual device attracts excessive pos/neg ions.. Mantis, per their rep, uses a buffer to keep their nutrients in a certain range.. And most ph buffers, organic or chemical, starts to wear off after abt a week or 2. Plus, we don't know one single ingredient that's used to make this Mantis stuff.. We don't know what the buffer is, or what it's derived from... Whats in it, what's not in it.. The ratios.. Nothing, lol. Not one ingredient is listed on the bottle, on the brochures, or anywhere on their website.. I guess that's cool if you don't care one bit about what your feeding the plants.. I think it's a little weird that people are so eager to use and recommend that line with absolutely no info of what's in it and what they will be inhaling into their bodies. To each their own though! But I don't think their ph buffer will last 2-4 months like the ion tech in this device.

I don't see that anyone has said anything positive (vs. briefly descriptive) about these products, much less "recommend" anything. It's just reporting in just a few sentences about new products, following the "Nice to see new inventions" theme set by the initial message.

To me, these products do make rather similar claims in terms of not needing to manually pH every time (which I never do and manage somehow not to see downsides from this). Obviously, more information about these products, reports of grows, etc. will need to come out, otherwise they simply have no markets.

In terms of not knowing what's in products, many home growers use products that have never reported their active agents, much less all functional ingredients, or how they work. Has Advanced Nutrients ever disclosed pH Perfect buffer system information (other than presumably buried in its assigned and licensed patents)? Does anyone know the active agents in Transport? Do the various beneficial microbe products include genetically upgraded microbes (fine with me)? Countless bloom booster and other supplements make all kinds of claims without ever disclosing chemical contents or how they work. That is pretty much the norm here. Otherwise, It's not as if most of this market knows enough to do much with this information if they had it - We just want what works.

That's why I grow organic/no till... None of that is necessary, lol.

Think i will be trying one of these out on my 65 gallon RDWC System see if the claims are true.
Thanks @GeorgeCloney for the link

Why not write to the mfg. and as for a rebate of some kind.
Test the product, and the results here on AFN.
It would be great if we actually had forum section here on AFN for product testing.
I think many guidelines would be required to remain unbiased in our evaluations.
The mfg. would benefit from exposure, good or bad.
Just say'n
