These are my personal opinions:

The light is awesome! it is large, so not for small tents. about 4 foot by nearly 2'. My driver is mounted to top of light and still produces very little heat

Heat production comparison:
<150w HPS
about the same maybe a little more than a 300w LED

PAR is awesome! The penetration is unmatched in comparison to LED. I've operated for about 2 years now and running strong as ever.

Weight:
a bit weighty, comparable to HPS

Complete comparison:
Beats or matches High-end LED for same watt in light production for growth stimulation
Looses to LED in weight size, and heat production but not by much could beat it if you option for the driver was mounted away from light and outside grow.
Matches LED in price comparison Mostly
Beats LED in Bleaching, No light bleaching ever and still penetrates great (Plants can touch the bulb)!
Beats HPS, hands down no competition

I will be truly testing it's ability for MMJ over the next few months. For regular vegetable and fruit production, I doubt there is a better light. I'm sold on it. However, the price has kept me from purchasing another 2.
comes in at about $600+

tips and tricks: placing a little fan to help cool the driver actually decreases the overall heat build up of your grow space. It seems that if it does not have air circulation it actually keeps getting hotter to an extent which still isn't a lot.

This is interesting to see- Was going to try a 250w HPS for flowering (2 at a time in my tent).

Which vendor did you use to get it?

Have you yet to run this through a whole grow yet?

That growth sure does look healthy dude!

Talk to you soon,

Blackbriar

Inda-Gro. I have yet to run it through a whole MJ grow. I'm working on something kinda right now. I may release some stuff later about the how the light performed on MJ.

However, with my system...to accurately demonstrate the light. It will be at least about 4 months down the road.

You can see youtube videos up of this light and believe them. It operates as stated. :)

remember though... you can get induction lights via china...but it's the gas mix that is being patented so not all these lights can duplicate each other exactly. Reputable companies are a must for this tech at the moment. It could mean the difference in having a good garage light and a light with a well blended spectrum that simulates sunlight.

There is one other induction light company I am kind of looking at that might be reputable, but not sure. Here is an email with them
if i am correct inda gro 400 pro is the same light basically as we have just different distributor,

it looks to me like they are buying parts (lamp and ballast)

and assembling the lights. to look a bit different in some cases

bottom line when they build there own lights the 10 yr warranty does not apply

we are a wholesale distributor

we actually request a certain spectrum for individual applications

these spectrum is achieved by different phosphorus blends applied to the inside of the bulb

when i hear see the lights that are PAINTED red or blue and called veg or flower i get nervous and very sceptical

so we have done a lot of research with different manufacturing company's
to see who can produce the correct spectrum for our need
what we have found is the 6500k spectrum that is best for vegging creates more nodes faster growth very green lush canopy
the 5000k that is typical for inda gro does well , we used it to test it , that spectrum is most common for industry
but not necessarily the best for vegging plants
we use 6500k for vegging now as it is the best

why mess with anything but the best
i can get any blend custom made, the only issue is lead time

when we have a spectrum that is not something we usually carry it takes between 3-6 weeks to bring them in
we are catering to the serious grower, that wants the fattest results , thats why we use specific spectrums for each phase

so if you like the inda gro light you will LOVE GREEN LIGHT SOLUTION light
Their prices are comparable, but seem not to have the testing by growers as does the inda-gro company.

The only problem I have with his reply on spectrums is that even though a blend may be at a mid road emitable light spec. The custom blend may be giving a broader range that the plant can draw from at choice. Where as in some light s such as LEDs are set to a wavelength and do not have a large range that is emitted. So to call a company limited that has their own blend and tell you that it is at a certain spec and then makes sure you see the giant BUT! and draw attention to what they are actually doing by testing a complete spectrum and mixtures to get the largest range no matter what "spectrum" is stated.

HIS 5000K light may not and is not probably THEIR 5000k light because the blends are probably different. look at my veg. results. You can do better than that?

dang, i doubt I'm making any sense.

simple version just because a bulb gives a ccertain temperature spectrum does not mean that all light emitted from the bulb will be at that wavelength but usually the "majority" of the light is (unless dialed in to the specific wavelength...LED). With Inda-gro, they are trying to achieve broad spectrums as like a sun, so don't just look at the color temperature and make a rash decision. To limit yourself or your plant to red or blue spectrum is a waste in my opinion when you can give it all at hardly a waste in power consumption.

A for example... if HID lighting came out with a bulb that put out light all the way from the MH to the HPS bulb, I'm sure many growers would switch to just using those through-out the whole grow instead of swapping.

Man I suck at explaining this! Visible color temperature is NOT the same thing as a spectral analysis and overall PAR of the light. All things must be considered.

I'm jealous. I've been wanting a double induction light ever since I saw a prototype in the backroom at the hydro store. I hope prices become more affordable as induction lights are introduced to more growers!

I hear ya man! I hurt myself trying to get a hold of one. I think $1 a watt would be much more feasible a price. But everything had to be imported and it's a pretty new tech and many companies keep the prices up all over other countries that are switching to this bc of it's output, efficiency, and overall life. If they would take off like LED's in the grow world, maybe the price would come down little by little. Everybody's trying to make a dollar though.

@Blackbriar, if you decide to get one. Let them know you saw it on AFN and shoot them this picture

Thanks!

Who knows ya might even get a discount :D Not sure though  Never hurts to ask. All sales places like to know where they are making sales and it could help us in the long run

Good friend of mine Runs the 420 in flower and the 200 in veg. LOVES them. His AK48 he just chopped weighed in at 2oz of top notch bud.
And that's with it being his 2nd plant EVER harvested! He is a complete noob and the light kept everything alive through all his mistakes, soil changes, bugs, heat, over nuting, blah blah.
He now has a little better set up and it looks like the lights going to do some serious work now.
The new girls are 2X the size of the AK48 from the last run with better soil and more knowledge.
I'd love to see what these can do for Auto's he has a Auto Sweet tooth under a 200 but with his in-experience I worry he wont be able to really make it shine like it could.
The price is the only thing holding me back from trying one myself. Its just to expensive I think $1/watt would be better as well. If they really want us to buy .80 would be better.

Since many here don't mind shopping in china for lights.

IndaGro lights mfg by Fjjk in china.
Prolly half the price of indagrow if you buy direct....

I got my 400w edfl direct from china Riant lighting.
468$ grand total, they honnored the warrenty for me.
My first one failed.
Love my induction light.

I think the price of inda gro is to high.

Glad you had good experience with China trade. I think a few similar lights can be had from china. I got a quote for $352.60 assembled and shipped. That is really good. It seems to be a very comparable light even down to the fixture itself. Just some minor differences. Be careful though, not everyone has the good prices, and I've read failure with their phosphorus mixtures as in burning inside to to the glass bulb over a little time.

I do know first hand that Inda Gro are exceptional and Very well built. But yes the price is just a tad over what I would "like" to pay...$1 a watt.

@Scarehole, what Spec is your light/ lights?
