I am about to start another grow with at least 3 plants.
I have 2 1x1 spaces and those are planned out already (using la divas in 2L size pots, 1 in each space), but I have a slightly larger space that is 2ft by 1.5ft and 5 feet high.
In this space I have a carbon filter and fan with 4 inch duct.
I usually use 120watt actual draw LED though am thinking about switching to lower watt HPS after watching KSJauto grow insane shit with only 100 watts in a very confined space with HPS.
So my questions...
I have a lot of genetics to work with, but not a lot of space, so the choice of plant is important...
In my 1.5x2x5 space, what plants should I grow and in what size pots to maximize yield?
I'm going to be using top feed system with 100% leca clay. I am thinking of a 1 gallon pot size (this would be like soil 4 gal I think since it's all leca) and I am thinking of using a photoperiod strain: Royal Queen Critical. It grows slightly slower than an auto, but I think I would have more time to correct mistakes, meanwhile the la divas are growing in the background hopefully brining in some weed a litter sooner...
I'm thinking of photoperiod because I am not sure autos are really my thing, in the sense that I am fuckin terrrrrrible at growing them. My autos always come out really fluffy and that annoys me :| The photos I have grown had problems during grow (N Tox), but when they finished they were definitely the densest flowers I had grown (only 2.5 years of growing, so not a lot of experience here really). They were delicious seeds northern lights blue, and they were also the most potent flowers I ever grew.
I only have 1 critical seed... I have other strains if it would be smarter to do like 4 plants in 2L pots instead of 1 in a gallon or 2 gallon. Here they are:
1. Royal Queen Critical (photo)
2. Royal Queen Cheese Automatic (auto)
3. KC brains Mango (photo, personal favorite to smoke but when it comes through my city it gets bought up so fast)
4. Barney's Farm Critical Kush (photo)
5. Dark Devil (auto)
6. Dinafem Moby dick auto
7. Dinafem Critical jack auto
8. Dinafem white widow auto
9. Dinafem amnesia auto (none of these are the xxl versions)
10. Deliscious Critical Sensi Star
I have thought about growing every single plant on that list, and was convinced at one point in time that each was the correct plant to grow x_x... I keep coming back to royal queen critical, because it's a fast photoperiod that has crazy yield for the time and if I make mistakes it's more likely to recover, plus have overall had better growing photos in this particular grow chamber.
Maybe I should grow 2-4 of the same in 2Liters vs a 1 gal (or maybe a 1.5 gal)? What do you guys think I should do for max yield per time spent? I'm not trying to deal or anything, but I have been still buying from the dealer every month and the shit getssss expensiveee lool
