This is my first posting in AFN so cut me some slack! LOL

As this jack Herer plant knocks on week 10s door, the trichomes refuse to degrade and flowers that have less light are keeping their pistils fresh and white as the tops turn brown/red. I'm at my usual 65% overall pistil change but the trichomes as shown still remain clear and not so bulbous. I'm so used to indica dominant photoperiod strains and this jack is slightly sativa and autoflower. That and this is my first Bubbleponics grow, so that and the autoflower together....I'm a noob and desperately in need of assistance!
Yes, as you can see, this plant has had two distinct issues half of its life. Everything was gravy until the preflower stretch, in one day(110°F outside weather during this time/89°Inside with 87%RH) this plant went from a foot in height to nearly 2.5 and shot up into the 150w Fullspectrum LED and got light/heat burn. Then after raising lights and getting temps in check, I flushed solution but totally forgot my cal-mag and for the next two weeks came out of a most likely Calcium deficiency as my RO system puts out 65ppm...thank you naturally nutrient rich well water!
I should have used a bit of tap water to buffer but it was so damn hot and I didn't want to do anything but lay in front of the AC!
Anyways, week 9.5 and I think because of the stresses it's gone through, it's got reduced yields big time and the maturation rate has been retarded. Done looked up everything I could find about this strain but 8 weeks flower time....? Yeah no!
My Virginia Gold Nicotiana plant companion plant has done wonders keeping bugs out but I constantly consider it's coco/soil medium and seriously want to go back to organic soil grows for my cannabis. Was this my first mistake, growing Jack Herer in DWC? And as much as I want to complain about how finicky this strain can be, i chew on my words because it's extremely resistant, period.

@caliEskimo :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:your plants do not look that bad? What are your reservoir temperatures? Are you running Botinicare HydroGuard?

Resevoir temps stay steady at 78/79°F. Night temps dip a little to 73/74. No light leaks, no slime, no algae ever and roots have been white up until mid flower when I blasted it with Golden Tree, Floralicious plus and a little bit of vegan blend. Botanicares HydroGuard was used since placed in seedling stage. This week I've been running distilled h2o plain, ph 5.9 to flush.

Water that warm cannot maintain enough dissolved oxygen for "Happy Roots". I had many problems with my DWC grows when the res got that warm. You cannot starve them (flush) and expect them to mature. They need food and energy to do that.

Well then, I guess this thread will get immediately jacked by the "no need to flush" theory but I'll stick with much appreciated science. I do understand what you're saying but as far as "starving" my plant goes, this girl has had plenty of nutes...I just don't want chem taste in my buds as I've noted mostly synthetic ferts. I've experienced this before in a g13 grow, by far, that and my last landrace Haze experiment with very chemical....uhhhhh, super spicy and harsh as sh*t flower!
I'm sitting here pondering your response...like, my plant is healthy and doing just fine, just wondering if others have had 10/11/12 week auto strains that really creeped to finish? I get dwc is much more intensive but if my water was too hot, ever, I would have had major issues, which I had not.
20210530_153523.jpglike this, at week 3, I wasn't using anything but fresh ro with Hydroguard and Maxibloom. This is a phenotype phenomenon caused by stresses, not nutritional or substrate fault.
And this coming from a staff member here and of the cultivators club? Breeders need a guy like me...not in the hands of some here obviously!
Not even talking smack but dang, really?? Water temps and user error?? GmAb

I dunno about you but the smells alone makes me want to harvest today but trichs just refuse to clouden(if that's even a word, dibs) up!
If Pine-sol made a Blueberry Diesel aroma that's what I get!
I will definitely be trying over again with this strain but first I'm going to reup with ILGM and get Shiva Skunk and Blue Dream.

2 days later.
I'm pretty sure this Jack is a slow bloomer is all, beautiful Fall colors though...in mid Summer!
Still seeing 80°F water temps and roots are still healthy. Also flushing still with buffered RO water.
I say another week should do fine.

I have no idea about hydroponic but manogreen has had experience with them and he simply asked some questions. There's no need to get all jumpy or hurt about them. I see you're new around here but if you've noticed this isn't like other forums where all they do I trash talk or shit like that on each other. We are all here to learn and grow hope you harvest some great buds :vibes: :pass:

What’s the genetics?
Some have the ability to not ripen..

IGLMs Jack Herer Autoflower flower is a 55/45 Sativa dominant Haze strain, Indica crossed with NL#5 & Shiva Skunk. Unsure how they've back crossed with Ruderalis but it's in there somehow.

Regardless of everything, this plant is still going strong 12.5 weeks! Most pistils, minus lower branches and ones closest to florescent lighting have turned brown/orange, trichomes have for the most part gone opaque but none are Amber. This is something I've never encountered and I'm getting kinda crappy feedback so I apologize for sounding "jumpy or butthurt" but my issue is no doubt, sound and legitimate yet other posts here and elsewhere get a whole heck of alot more coverage despite being the same old, overwatering, over fertilizing, noob issues!
I mean common, can we step up the playing field and get some people who've been doing this for +20 years and not innuendo from these "Gold-rush"-type growers who may have a spot in mom and dads house, age 24? Not even talking smack, just looking for REAL feedback here, not how to condone myself in interweb communities.
Thanks
