I woke up to a droopy plant today , She is at day 15 from seed and just yesterday was her first feeding with big bloom and grow big at 1/2 strength. i was having some heat issues where the temp would spike to 86f for a few hours and then drop back down to 83, but since them it's been pretty steady at 79. I started lst but i took the strings off thinking that might have been hurting it.

Here is some more info on it
Strain : short rider from nirvana
Set up: Space bucket, Here's a link to the bucket thread https://www.autoflower.org/threads/hello-everyone.50816/
Soil: happy frog with 30% perlite
Light : 5 23w cfl's with led strip for side lightning on 18/6
Fans: 2 80mm pc fans for intake and a 47cfm 115v for exhaust.

PH of las watering/first feeding was 6.5 going and 5.9 from the run off

Hi EJ8, I how much water is in that soil? Are you drying it out like sand? "sand" you need to they look over watered, and the wrinkles dont worry about that right now. I like my temps in the 84 to 86F range.

If you dont have any cal+mag you will need some.. later on.. they look great!!!

I have been watering when i feel its dry up to my first knuckle. So it has been around 2lts every 3 days or so. I just watered it yester with her first feeding too

Hi EJ8, in addition to The Elvis' comments, I suspect you may have a potential soil PH problem. If you are feeding at 6.5 and your runoff is 5.9, that would seem to indicate your soil was at 5.3 or so at time of feeding/watering. When I used FF soils in the past, I found that grows went a lot smoother with some garden lime mixed with the soil or scratched into the surface to raise/stabilize the pH of the soil. I also think that feeding Grow Big at half strength at Day 15 in FF soil is a tad early because GB is quite strong.

I have grown in the happy frog for years but switched to the roots about a year ago. I found that adding too much pearlite would cause issues for me but your problem looks like a heat issue to me. Your temps might be ok in the tent but your lights could be too close and causing the surface temp of the plant to get too hot.

thank you Bays lime is very important, also as bays said hold off a bit on the big bloom .. your plant is green no spots or anything really..

What do you guys recommend? I was following the fox farm feeding schedule, how long should i wait to feed it?

Assuming you are watering every 2-3 days, I would just give her water next time. Also, from this point forward you should water/feed until you get a good amount of runoff, about 15%-20% of what you watered or fed. This is particularly important with FF products because FF nutes, actually residual salts, have a tendency to buildup in the soil and cause lockout of nutrients. By watering sufficiently, you reduce but not eliminate the likelihood of salt buildup and nutrient lockout.

Have you decided whether you are going to feed every watering or feed every other watering?? There's no right answer here; everyone has their own approach.

I don't go by the FF schedule. I use 1.5 tsp per week as the full Grow Big dose, and the same for Tiger Bloom. Big Bloom is like a tea and is good stuff used throughout the grow. I use 4 tsp per week as the full weekly dose.

I feed every watering so these amounts are cut in half as I water twice a week.

Hope this helps.

BTW, good luck with your grow!
