When I started growing I started in dwc hydro. I miss the size of the autos I was able to grow. Compared to soil what I'm doing now it's crazy different. Some throwback pics of my beautiful plants I was growing in hydro. Now I'm learning soil. Some day I plan to try coco and organics also. I want to learn it all and do it all and then chose with what I want from there. Hydro throwback from my first grows

Thanks for sharing your pics I'm a coco grower as I feel they finish bigger and faster than soil but I'm envious how easy it is not mixing loads of nutes

Yeah no problem. My hydro set up grew huge autos. Used GH nutes back then. 0ppm ro water. Then I'd add 150 ppm .500 scale calimagic and then base nutes (micro grow and bloom) rapid start when they were young for root development. Armor si I started using my 2nd grow for stronger plants. Then ph adjust then I'd add hydroguard. Voila. My 2nd grow I used and brewed real growers recharge tea also and they loved it. Bennies rock! Screw sterile!

A good replacement for hydroguard is southern ag fungicide. More potent than hydroguard and cheaper. They call hydroguard snake oil for newb hydro growers that know no better like me when I wasted money on hydroguard. Hydroguard is watered down southern ag fungicide. But southern ag and real growers recharge keeps the roots healthy. Pythium is no joke otherwise if you cant keep water temps in check.

I want to tey coco and organic some day down the road after my soil growing. I want to master them all and then choose whatever method I prefer from there on out. If you can kill it in hydro you can kill it any grow medium tho. Hydro is definently the hardest method of growing and sometimes the least forgiving. Soil is the most forgiving I've learned. But if u can dial hydro in right its totally worth it. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I just had single 5 gallon buckets made into dwc system. I wish i had recirculating system or ebb and flow if I could of changed anything about my dro setup
