Hey Everyone :)
Running 30/70 perlite/coco with Canna Coco A&B nutrients in fabric pots. Could someone suggest the best way to add mycorrhizae and how often? The product I have is fully water soluble.

I'd top water them in. Bare in mind .. the pot will be saturted from the watering from the autopot .. and if you top water too much, it'll pee out of the bottom and flood your tent (like i did lol)

To avoid the flood - either use a small amount - or probably better, lift your pots out a bit, and stand them like a diamond (does that even make sense) on the tray sides, let the plant drink up a bit, and then water in the mycos.

Once you've watered them in and left for a bit, you can pop the pot back in the autopot tray!

Hope this helps

Thanks Blue, that does make perfect sense, appreciate your help :d5:

If the autopots trays are turned on make sure you shut the reservoir off while you take out the pot as when you place the
fabric pot back in the tray it will flood out over the floor. Don't ask me how I know. That is why I have a shut off valve on
each tray besides the one direct at the res. For Mykos I have the dry stuff that I add about 2 Tablespoons to the hole
before I plant germed seed. I don't add extra to mine after that.

Thanks for that Bushmaster, I also have valves on each tray & a res one as well. Interesting you only add it at the beginning. I've been trying to find information on regular additions of Myco throughout the grow. Many manufacturers recommend it anywhere from every 2-3 weeks to weekly doses but they are selling the stuff. Would be interesting to know what commercial operations are doing as it's pretty pricey.

If you click on the FTG Lighting SoFem link in my signature you'll see my most recent grow. I'm not sure how much it helps to keep adding once the roots have established. I have another friend that grows in fabric pots and he'll layer the mykos. Putting in 2 inches of soil and sprinkle some, 2 more inches of soil and more sprinkling of mykos. Then when planting germed seed does the tablespoon on mykos in the hole. His plants look the same as mine when finished. So if you can save money by only doing the first initial mykos I'm for that.

Wow really nice grow there Bushmaster :d5: hope mine are half as good. This is my first run in coco / hydro nutes so I should keep it as simple as possible to really get the hang of it. I will keep researching about ongoing applications of Myco and report back if I find anything interesting.

You could also just press your finger in several places, such as if testing for dryness, add some of the liquid concentrate, add a little bit of water, and fill in the hole with soil/medium. The fungi will do their natural thing of diffusing down into the soil/medium and spreading by mycelia/hyphae (the 'hairs' you may see).

Found a very comprehensive article on Mycorrhizal fungi in Hydroponics HERE
So the way I'm reading it is that it becomes non beneficial to add more mykos later on in autopots as they run more like a hydro. But as we
start the autopots with just a moist base and top water in till the reservoir gets turned on that is what where it will shine. Then with constant
feed like a hydro setup it negates the effect of using extra mykos.
