Hi Folks,

Just a quick question. I have recently transplanted my girls from 5L pots to 12L planters. I was feeding them 1 litre every other day. Now they have a bigger pot how much would you recommend I feed them. Would 2 litres every 2 - 3 days be a good schedule? I usually wait until the pots have dried (which worked out every other day in 5L pots). So I am guessing every 2 - 3 days with these 12L pots.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I'd just run a gallon through and that's usually about right, then just use the pick up method .. It's hard to measure by days, just water her when the pot feels light again

That always made sense to me considering the ladies will drink more or less through out ..

Okay one more thought lol plastic pots take their time drying out .. another reason I like the pick up method , I'm able to lift that pot up and know right away

What medium are you using? Be specific. That makes a difference. In fact what is your setup?

Thanks for your reply. Setup is as follows:

Single wardrobe setup.
Brilliant matt white painted walls.
4 x Ruderalis Indica in 12L Planters
1 x 250w HPS overhead (33k lumens)
2 x 100w CFL Side Lighting (12klumens)
1 x 9" Fan intake
1 x 6" Fan extractor
1 x 12" Fan on HPS to keep it cool
All plants are in light mix soil with perlite

26-28°c during the day
23°c during the night
35 - 45% Humidity

Let me know if I have missed anything.

Thank you :-)

they use the same water no matter what size the pot is. If you are asking how much more water will it take to make all the dirt in a big pot wet that is another matter. But the plant only uses as much as it can drink no matter how wet the dirt is. A big plant in a little container will drink all the water several times a day. A little plant in a big container may never drink all the water available.

Hi, I use light mix with perlite and also pot on, I'll pot on when soil has mostly dried out, once potted I will give a good watering with nutrients, and then just wait till drys out then continue watering as usual.
A lot of growers don't recommend potting on autos as it can stress them, but I've never had any problems with it tbh.
